  1. The spiced pear is wonderful!! A 6oz wickless scented our entire home. My nose didn't care for the creme brulee either, all I can smell is butterscotch. Lemon Biscotti is a must as well!
  2. Christmas Pear and Lemon Biscotti ~ Both from Bert, they are Great!
  3. great ideas, thank you everybody! Now I don't feel so silly about asking.
  4. I've been trying to search for 2 days, but I keep getting error messages. I have a pour pot that I bought from a local craft store, but I'm trying to find other things I can use too. Can I use a glass measuring cup? I think I've also heard of people using empty coffee cans. What does everybody use? Thanks!
  5. I don't know if they have the sizes you need, but it wouldn't hurt to look into www.labelsbythesheet.com. They are great to work with and very fast!
  6. Thank you Vio! I think I'll order samples of a few different waxes. I really want to keep using the wax that I have, but I have no idea what kind it actually is since I ordered one thing and the box says that it's another. Like I said, I'll play with a few samples and figure out what I've actually got. I'll definitely start with the 415, thanks. Thank you to all who posted!
  7. I ordered some of the bluegrass soy with cottonseed several months ago. I've been told that this is the same thing as GB464, but the box says "Plain 415". I can order GB much cheaper than I can order bluegrass from sensational scent now, does anybody know if the bluegrass with cottonseed is GB464 or 415 or if it's a truly separate blend? Thanks!
  8. Thank you for the replies. I'm really trying not to waste any oil, so thank you for all of the help. I really appreciate it!
  9. We, my wife and I, are pretty new to candle making. Up until now, we've only bought 1oz samples to try out. We've graduated to slightly larger bottles now that we've found the scents we like for our own personal use. However, we are having a problem when we pour from the larger bottle...it runs down the side. This hasn't been a problem since we've used the entire 1oz and never had to worry about measuring the fo. Does anybody have any tips on how to pour without making a mess? Thanks!
  10. Has anybody tried the creme brulee? All I can smell is butterscotch and I would like some help re-naming it. I'm going to stick with CS for creme brulee, but would like to use the creme brulee oil I have from Bert, but named as something else. It might just be my nose, has anybody else tried this oil? PS I LOVE the other 12 oils I ordered, just having problems with this one.
  11. beechcreekcandles~ Thank you for the link, but I have been to their site many times. The Richland jar is not listed, but they do carry it. As I said, I've already received a sample Richland jar and liked it. 8-GRAN-ONES~ I agree, the lid did fit loosely. Thank you for that helpful information, now I know that it wasn't just mine. I think I'll just stick with my local company as I still cannot get a response from Fairway.
  12. Does anybody know how much fairway charges for the richland (metro/status) jar? I got a sample from them a while ago and I need to place an order, but I haven't heard back from them. I need to compare prices because I think fairway is pretty reasonable, but I don't know the exact price. I can pick Libbey status jars up locally, but they are more expensive.
  13. Coconut oil has cured my wet spot problem in a 12oz metro jar.
  14. I wish them good luck. I've given up on that company, but hopefully they can turn everything back around!
  15. Candlescience has a VERY strong black cherry oil. I haven't made anything with it yet, but all I can smell is pure cherry oob.
  16. Basil and herb from candle science had a very strong cold and hot throw in our Glass Glow and GB464! IMO, it's a very clean and "herby" scent.
  17. Thanks, ChrisR, that's good to know about the lids. I actually just found out today that a local restaurant supply store can get me the Libbey metro jars for a very fair price. I really appreciate everybody's help, thanks!
  18. That's very true and a good point. I would pay $29.99 if I REALLY liked them, but there is no way I would pass them up for $24.99. Best of luck to you and congrats on your order!
  19. Those are adorable! IMO, I don't think $29.99 is too much to ask at all.
  20. Do your customers care about the seams in the jar? I love the quality from the jar store, the glass is very thick and durable. I requested a sample from fairway glass to consider the seamless, but I won't switch from the jar store unless fairway's glass is just as thick and durable.
