I'm a single Mom of 4 girls, age 21,10,6, and 4. And, once in my life, I'm excited about doing something important for myself and my Family. Running my own Business. Which is in Candlemaking. I thank you all for the great info and knowledge on this Board.

  1. Glad you were on your toes scentsationaldelites. I haven't started selling my Candles yet. But, know with almost everything these days, there's a Scam involved. Which is bad for the honest person. I get these types of e-mails everyday. Sometimes, I don't even open them. Depending on what mood I'm in, I email back , and tell them to get a Honest Life. That GOD don't like ugly. Is, there any fear in their heart (NO) but, I tell them anyway. Hope I don't get kicked off the board for this. If, I could meet up with someone that nasty, I would try to beat the dust off of them. and I'm a sweet person:grin2: But, hate for good , hard , honest people to be taken avantage of, especially our Older generation (which use to be by Phone). Now it's everyone by Internet. Everyone just be careful.
  2. I may not be of much help here. I've been testing C-3 on and off for two years now, and can't get it right. Every Batch seems to be different, even with the same Supplier. That's why it's important to keep notes with this and every Wax. Once, I think I have it down, something else arises. I've also had that gritty problem. My, notes are in the storage and I can't get to them right now. Try heating your wax between 180-190 degrees. 190 is my heating range. And like you said, stir well. I would also try pouring 10-20 degrees higher and vice versa. Starting with what you're pouring first. But, much as I can remember, a higher temp may do the trick. Maybe, someone else will chime in soon.:tiptoe:
  3. I don't post that often, but that just burns my BUTT! I agree with all the above. I feel you're not even selling them for enough. Then, lowering your prices, (Not). If, it was a favor for someone, or giving a discount, yes. But, for someone, (know matter who) being that Bold, and trying to get over, I wouldn't even give it another thought. You, know what you put into making your product, and that's all that matters. :yay:
  4. That's great. Hope they keep coming! (Orders).
  5. I am of know help. And, they are just adorable. Wondering, if they will with stand the heat source of a candle!!! If, so. I'll like feed back to were to purchase also. I've seen similar ones in Micheal's. But, they were always associated with candy mints. They may be found on Wedding sites. Maybe someone will be of more help.
  6. The first impression is important! I'm a picky buyer. If, the scent has a ct, I'll definitely purchase. They look great. Che65
  7. Oh Yah! I received my sample from Peak's last week. And, ordered the 8oz. FO yesterday. It's definitely a keeper for me. Che65
  8. Hello, and Welcome to CT. You come to the right place. I'm also knew. And, have learn so much from the Community. If, you have questions, they will be answered here! :highfive: Che65
  9. It's life little pleasures, when you experience something for yourself. It's kind of funny, that now I go into a place of Business and run straight to the candle section. Not, to purchase, but to see the big Wheels product. And, not to knock them (well not to bad). Some are awful looking. No Cold Throw, separation from the jars, and bubbles. That's another reason why, I love CT:yay: . Before finding you-all, I thought a Candle was just a Candle, used, for when the lights went out. But, now I know better. Test, test, and test some more . 10. No, I haven't tried it yet. But, if it comes from Peak, I know it must be good. I haven't been disappointed, and hope I never will, with Their Service and Supplies. It's on my list for next weeks order. Che65
  11. Thanks Pam and Everyone, :tiptoe: to test now!!!! Che65
  12. Thanks for the info, will check it out. Che65
  13. Hello, I'm knew to candlemaking, and have learned so much from your Community. Have been testing, testing, and testing again. Thanks to you all, I stay motivated. Even cutting back on snacks to buy Supplies :highfive: I know there's been many discussions on adding CO. But, can someone add, when/or at what temp should the CO be added. Not sure if I should add it when I add the color/FO. (Temperature is the key in Candlemaking) I'm using C-3 if that helps. Wicked and Wickless. Thanks in Advance, Che65
