  1. I know a lot of people will have a lot of different answers but I go by one rule of thumb and it has never failed me! I use 1 ounce per pound of wax with ez soy and I have always gotten optimum results! Good luck and welcome ot the addiction!
  2. Hi! I use the ez soy and dye chips from BCN and I have never ever had a problem. My scent throw is awesome and I get smooth creamy tops when pouring at about 100 degrees. That is what works for me and I LOVE it!!!
  3. To add to all of these horror stories, I have one of my own! A lady at work bought one of my eucolyptis spearmint candles. The following Monday morning she came and told me she really loved it. She said it was an awesome candle, she had lit it in her guest bathroom and forgot about it for 2 Days!!!!! My legs nearly gave out from under me!!!! OMG!!! I just felt sick inside. Then she said that it burned evenly just as I had said and the scent throw was amazing! I had given her burning instructions as do with all of my customers but she said she just simply forgot about it! She said the jar was not even hot! I was floored! I said I was ever so thankful nothing happened but please please please don't do that again!
  4. Hi everybody! I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to put in my "2 scents"!! As far as a creamy strawberry, BCN's Strawberry Cheesecake is my best selling candle!! It throws like wildfire in ez soy and my customers LOVE it!!! As far as hyacinth, BCN makes a fabulous Hyacinth and that one is fabulous in ez soy and I am really not a floral fan! My customers sure love it though!! Good luck ladies!! There are some awesome scents out there and I just love makin' them all!!!!
  5. I really like the eco 8 for my jelly jars and the htp for my wide mouth masons. I order from bc and they have not failed me yet!
  6. My favorite container for soy is the 8oz mason jelly jar and I use the ez soy from BC!
  7. Wow I am a total newbie! What is a wick pin? Where can I find one? Do you put them in the cup just like you would a wick but it is not glued down? Is the stearic acid 5tbsps a pound? Please forgive me but as I said I am a total newbie! I really LOVE what I do now and this is a fantastic board to learn all kinds of cool things! Bless you all for your patience and understanding! I know I have to tell myself no but it really is an addiction! But I love it!!!! Have fun!! Angie Hight Moneypenny's Soysations
  9. Awesome! Is this 5TBS per pound? Is the steric acid sold at any candle making supplier? Do you use a dixie cup for the mold? About how many tarts or votives do you get out of a pound of ez soy? Forgive my questions as I am a newbie and really love doing this and am always looking to expand my new addiction! Thanks so much! Angie Hight Moneypenny's Soysations
  10. Hi Susan! I would love to know how you do your dixie cup votives! How cool! I use the ez soy and so far I just do the 8 0z jelly jars and I would love an alternative! Any info would be great! I am a newbie and have only been doing this since June 3rd! Thanks so much! Angie Hight Moneypenny's Soysations
