  1. Hi everyone, it's been awhile. I'm starting to plan my wedding for next July 2009. I found some wonderful centerpieces that are cowboy boots that are vases but they cost a pretty penny. I've been trying to find just plain white made out of plaster or cement or something , because I want to paint them like the Texas Flag, so far I haven't found anything. So i started to look for a mold, I didn't find anything either. Then I thought about using old boots somehow stiff them and then paint them the way I want them, but of course I have not idea how to do that. So I need help!!!! I need two different sizes one no bigger than 4inches (for the favors) and then something bigger than 8 inches for the centerpieces. Need help!!!!!
  2. I have a question. How do you put the picture on the glass blocks. I love to learn how to do that, I have never seen that here in the Rio Grande Valley. Thanks Ludi
  3. Hi, Everyone! My friend found a website that sells solid smelly jellies, I have no idea how to make those. Does anyone have a recipe to make those? Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks it was gross to see the zombie hand, my friend had a blast looking at it. Do you think I could use parfin wax instead of the wax he used?
  5. Hi, everyone I just came back from a weekend trip to San Antonio, Texas. We stop at a shop downtown called wax hand or something like that, anyway they got their hand dipped in wax and got to make a mold of their hand. Does anyone have directions to do this? Thanks in advance. Ludi
  6. Thanks for your replies. I was just wondering.
  7. I found a new website that sells just wickless candles, warmers and refresher oils. When I saw that I was wondering why you would buy a refresher oil, I scrolled down the page and found my answer. "Our 0.5 oz bottles of refresher oils are wonderful to use with your wickless candles or on potpourri. As the scent of your wickless candle starts to fade, turn off the warmer, add several drops of refresher oil to your melted candle, put the lid back on once the tin has cooled down, and let the candle cure for 3-4 days. This will bring your candle back to life again! Once this bottle of oil is gone, throw away both oil and candle." I have a question, since I don't make wickless candles, can you do that, and does that work?
  8. A friend gave me a candle from a company and on the label it state that it was triple scented. Is that possible? Doesn't the fragrance sink to the bottom of the candle when you add too much?
  9. I have a small question, and I hoping someone can answer it. Some of my candles have an ugly top, I've read you can use a blow dryer or heat gun to smooth it. I've tried using a blow dryer and it just leaves my candle worse, so I went this morning to buy a heat gun, but I'm a little scared to use it. Will it leave my candle looking ugly? Thanks Ludi
  10. Hi everyone! I'm a newbie at making candles. I've been wanting to making soy tarts but I have no idea where to start. Can anyone help? Thanks! Ludi
