  1. Brenda, I get the same results as you. Before I got into candlemaking, I brought the oils from The Body Shop. There was what I would call a faint "whisp" which of course I thought added to the ambiance. That's the same whisp of steam I get no matter what my ratio of dpg/fo is. I've used 50/50 and 80/20.
  2. Thanks to everyone for helping out!
  3. I haven't-but if I find links-I'll definitely post them for you!
  4. Ladies-thank you all for your replies! I went out looking yesterday-didn't find any I like. I'm really wanting one-the clean air aspect (I have asthma) as well as the fragrance properties (making my own fuel-yah!) I'm looking forward to. Camay-make sure you keep me posted on what you find!
  5. All-I just discovered effusion lamps today and researched recipes for making the oil. I know basic stuff about them, is anyone familiar enough with these to give me any pointers/advise/recipes?
  6. I've only used DPG and it doesn't evaporate. My ratio is 50/50 a little more depending on the scent. I'd be interested in any testing to arrive at what works other than DPG in a pinch...
  7. GL doesn't have the pictures. You'll have to call. I've definitely seen them there...
  8. For wording, I would check some of the name brand wording/warnings (bath and body works) if that is permissible and formulate your own. This is what is commonly used to scent potporri as well. It seems too thick to be air freshener, though. Doesn't mean I didn't try it and slick up my floors enough to have to mop it up-LOL!
  9. Hi All! I use 50/50 DPG/FO and sell them in the 1/2 oz and 1 oz size Cobalt blue glass dropper bottles. I sell WAY more burner oils than I do candles!
  10. I LOVE BURNER OILS! You can sample so many fragrances this way! I never use water-there are some threads about it and they aren't a good mix with water from what I hear.:undecided
  11. Hello! I use half DPG and half FO. I sell just as much burner oils as I do candles!
  12. Ladies an Gentlemen, I will be cleaning my keyboard of coffee shortly due to all my outbursts-I'M HOWLING! This is all helpful AND funny!
  13. Hello All, I make most of my candles in Libby Glass and I cover them with a square film (if that's the correct word) from Taylored Concepts. They look very classy and Taylored also has them on display with the cello bags w/raffia. Real nice for the holidays! The only downside is there is no "pre-smelling"-I have samples with me in mason jars...
  14. I'm still testing and my candles more than surpass this...guess our standards are just a littttle higher! LOL!
  15. I've renamed it "Sexxy" and made it pale yellow. It's a hit!
  16. WOW! I was just about to search this! Thanks for the question AND the answer ladies!
