  1. Have you tried either of these in CP soap? I also saw they have Chocolate Decadence, have you tried this one? These sound like what I am looking for. I plan to doctor them up myself with either amber or patchouli and clove.
  2. I've done several searches for various types of chocolate FOs on here. People are describing the scents as "yummy, sweet, bakery ........." I'm looking for something more sexy, earthy, and sophisticated like real dark chocolate. I also have in mind like a Mexican Cocoa, with some clove or cinnamon. I haven't found suppliers so far with this scent. I've made some chocolate soap before and it came out smelling like a brownie or fudge scent. People thought of food too much when they smelled those soaps. Oh and I got the cocoa absolute from New Directions. OOB it didn't smell very nice, and way too pricey for the project I have in mind. Thanks for any ideas :smiley2:
  3. I haven't posted a pic forever so I thought I'd share one. There is actually cactus in the soap. It is scented with Coriander and Bergamot EOs
  4. Thanks, that's a good price, with the free shipping they are only .03 each. My last few orders I have been paying .08 each from Camden Grey and Lotion Crafters.
  5. It doesn't smell like Rosemary EO at all. They say it is infused with other essential oils also and I don't smell any of them in there either. But since it is a cleaner smelling scent I could see doing some citrus combos with it like Lemon or Orange.
  6. Ok so I've been wearing the True Musk for a while and it totally smells like Coty now. Even brings back some memories LOL
  7. My sister gave me a black ink only Brother laser printer. I really like the way it prints, but I wish it was color. The replacement ink cartridge is only $27.00. I like that about it too. The down side of lasers for me is that I use a lot of heavy cardstock and it won't take it. I have to have a top feed inkjet for that. I would say if you are getting a laser printer get a color one. Even if you don't use the color very much at least you'll have it. Also if you get it from Best Buy you can have around 6 months to 12 months interest free to pay it off.
  8. It's not the Egyptian Musk from Oregon Trail. The one I am talking about is called True Musk, same company though. If you get the Egyptian Musk you may be disappointed. I have no idea what their Egyptian Musk smells like. I have one from another company that has more of an incense smell. Straight from the bottle the True Musk really smells like Coty, the clear spray bottle type, I don't remember the dipstick one. I just put some on my arm to see what it smells like on skin. Now it only smells only similar. I guess you guys will have to be the judge for yourselves, its been a LONG time since I've smelled it actually on my skin. Now that its been on my arm for a bit the smell in the breeze around me is more Coty-ish again from what I remember. I would say it is worth trying it if you're looking for a Coty dupe.
  9. Grama, have you tried their Masculine Musk? They don't have a description of the scent on the website.
  10. A LONG time ago I bought some musk from Issaquah candle supply. They aren't in business anymore but now I need to find a musk just like it. The one from CS is too powdery. The closest I have found is from Oregon Trail, which is nice and btw smells exactly like Coty Wild Musk from the 70's if anyone is looking for that. I would like something less perfumey more true White Musk if possible. Any ideas?
  11. Can anyone tell me if this scent discolors in CP?
  12. Wow what a landslide of responses LOL. I thought with all the Mal's cart users on here I would have at least had a couple that would chime in. Anyway, I have figured it out. If anyone ever needs help with this feel free to ask me.
  13. I'm switching over to mals shopping cart from pay pal cart finally . But I'm really confused how to set up the shipping. I don't need real time, I use USPS flat rate boxes. The way it is set up in pay pal has worked fine, so I know it can't be super complicated. The biggest thing I don't understand is that they say you can set it up from the number of items ordered. Or that it can be set up to be $10 for the first item and $2.00 each additional. (example) Which indicates there must a table somewhere to enter your values in. Does anyone know where to set that up? Even setting up a weight chart would be fine. (like in the pay pal cart) I just can't find the charts to set them up. Also if I am way off thinking about how this should be done feel free to let me know. Thanks for any help This link is in their forum section, great at explaining what can be done, I'm just not seeing how to do it. http://www.stoner.org.uk/mals/standardexamples.html#qtyt
  14. I just got a relay call from an IM operator. The person on the other end said they wanted to buy THOUSANDS of random products from my website. Very sneaky, having an American operator speak to me to make it more believable. At first they had the operator tell me they were from New York, then they started saying they needed the items for their store in Africa. Same old con, just by a new avenue. Just wanted to let everyone know.
  15. I've used both. My opinion is that flake is much better. Flake doesn't clump like beads, dissolves faster, much less mess when pouring, and beads are harder to get from your measuring container into the water from all the static. I asked my chemical supplier the difference, they said the only difference is that most people say flake is dusty. Best if you use a respirator mask when dealing with it. But I use my respirator mask when mixing either.
  16. I agree LOL, but I have no choice if I take this on I have to label them too. This is something I'll have to do to make this account happy. They are very large and very good to me. That's why I want it quick and easy. But it has to look very professional at the same time. I have so much else on my plate tiny soaps sound so tedious right now:P I'm going to look at what's out there for the glassine bags. If they are small enough that might work sealed with a label and their logo.
  17. I just called the new SS owner she said she would try to track down where the old owner got the boxes you used to use. I like the foil too. I was thinking black tissue with a kraft or gold colored label. The black foil would look good with that too. Very masculine but not sure if that matters.
  18. Absolutely LOVE IT! I was thinking of getting a bakers rack but I think the trays are aluminum, and I would have to worry about lining them and air circulation. I like this one much better thank you for sharing the link. It would be super easy to put casters on that.
  19. I just heard from the account that they want it to feel artsy. Personally I'm worried about easy too. I was thinking a cigar wrap too but apparently they will be gifts for preferred customers, so they should have a gift feel to them too. I will check SS to see if they still have the boxes.
  20. Ok, so now I have decided how I will make my guest size soaps out of the way, now I have to determine how I will package them. Any one have any suggestions of creative, but VERY professional looking ways to package these little guys? They should be around 1.5"x 2.5"x 3/8" each. A tiny box would be so nice for making it easy, but I worry about the cost. I'll be making 500+ monthly to start.
  21. I spoke with FCS today and she said the bars are 1.5"x2.5"x 3/8" so that sounds like it will work for me. She said each 3lb batch from their mold with cut 72 bars. This should go pretty quick. Now I have to do a post for mini boxes. How does your friend package her B&B soaps?
  22. I'm only working with CP for these. I was looking at the FCS mini soap cutter but some people on here have commented on the size of the soap that was cut, saying it was an odd size. I've left a message to ask some questions about the cutter, hopefully they will call back. TT what wire cutter are you talking about? Sounds like what you have could work for me.
  23. I want it to be faster and more professional than just cutting by hand. I'm going to be making about 500 or more for each order. I don't want to cut and label all those by hand. I guess the cutter is the most important, I could most likely use the molds I have already. I would like them to look similar to the bars found in hotels.
  24. I've never made guest size CP soaps before, but now need to. Can anyone recommend a nice mold with a cutter for around 1oz to 1.5 oz soaps?
  25. Mine only holds a max of 6lbs at a time, roughly 96oz. So it is actually only around 90lbs of wax. The temp control was the main question I had with the urns. I guess I'll just get a couple more prestos. I looked at target and walmart and they don't carry the larger ones anymore.
