  1. I get all of my jars and spray bottles from... Simplythebomb, on Ebay. She is really nice and is a super fast shipper. Again, like others have said. I'm not sure if she is the cheapest, but I think her prices are good and she has quite a selection.
  2. How right you are. I don't know what I was thinking! A little e-wax, petrolium jelly, and lanolin with mica and some flavoring. That should do the trick. I hope. I'm gonna try it! I get by with a little help from my friends!
  3. Does any one know how to make a lipstick that stays on? Kind of like a lipstain or a long lasting lipgloss?
  4. Making your own mineral makeup can be hard. I have a professional kit that I have attempted twice and once it didn't work and once it did. The hardest part is measuring. With this kit everything is an exact science. I had a very difficult time finding a scale that I could afford that measured in .000 grams. And the one that I did find is a balance and I am still not sure that I am able to measure correctly. Now this has just been my experience with the company that I bought from that I probably won't buy from again. I started to go with a company that was alot more expensive that already has the hard part done all you have to do is add the colored mica to make different shades; But at the last minute I went with another company in order to get more product at a cheaper price. Big mistake on my part because what I didn't know did hurt me in the end. I had no idea that you needed to measure on such a small light weight scale and if I were to try and find one that was digital and measured at a .000 range it could cost in upwards of 1,500 at the least. Now don't let me scare you off. You just really need to do your research and get yourself a resale tax id number. You can do it on the internet and check back in a day or so and have your number and then they will send you a paper copy in the mail. And it's free. I found that most reputable companies will not sell you their products unless you have this number. I know that it can be done and you can find kits that are very inexpensive like the one you mentioned for $45.00. But if you plan on selling it, that little kit could get you started but you more than likely will need to buy on a bigger scale to keep up with customer demand if you are selling on an auction place. I planned on customizing mineral makeup for my clients but as of right now I wouldn't dream of selling them what I have because it is jus too hard to do accuratly with out the proper scale. I have had to learn a tough and expensive lesson. But you don't have to if you do your home work and ask the right questions now that you have a little more information. I hope this helped. Jillianne
  5. Here's an odd question. But I just have to know the answer. Okay here it goes... I'm ambitious and I was interested in making my own scents. Not mixing scents that I already have. I want to know where they come from and how to make my own. I have been buying them and after a while it kind of gets to be a pain to purchase and wait, purchase and wait. I want to know how to make my own. So how do you make scents like Vanilla crunch or Butter scotch scents like that. Any ideas? Anybody? Thanks so much. Jenny
  6. Okay to tonight is my first time on this web page and I am loving it. I have been looking for a way to stay at home with my son and make money. I worked in a spa for a few months after graduating Aesthetician school but I found out that the real world can be a harsh place to be in. And I learned that I am a creator type person. I love working for myself and making things. So needless to say, I am thrilled to have found you all here. But here is my question.... What are FCO's and FO's and what is a wsp? These abbreviations are all new to me. And does any one know how to make soy body melts? And where can you get fragrences? Thanks so much, Jill:rolleyes2
