  1. Chemessence Inc, has been in business since 1964.
  2. I agree with Angel. The table looks too busy. Every year we go to the fair and there is this guy that has so much stuff on his table that you can hardly pick up a candle w/out touching or knocking another candle off or over. It makes me almost nervious. I did look at your website and you have done a great job with it. I think if you would include some of the crocks and other items you have on your website that would be nice also. Especially the crocks they would add some other texture looking items and interest. A lady told me one time at a retail store, not to put like 4 or 5 of the same items out, because people see the items and think, well - they have 4 or 5 left and I will just come back and then they don't. I am not saying only put out 1 item on the candles, I just think maybe 3 of them and then re-stock. Just suggestion. I think maybe putting the tarts in a basket, it seems to me that lady's love going thru baskets, don't know why, but I do that also, if there is a basket and something is in it, I want to see what is in the basket. Good luck selling.
  3. I am using Golden Brand 415 (soy), 8 oz. tureen, HTP 1312 wicks. I found some 62-51-18 zinc wicks and thought, I would try them and see what happens, I actually like it better than the HTP wicks, I only put 1 wick in the jar and I can get the zinc wicks locally and the HTP's I have to order out of state. But, when I get on other websites that say they are selling 100% soy candles, they are using cotton or paper wicks. Why are they using the paper or cotton wicks? I would just like to get all of my supplies locally (which saves me on shipping/handling) I guess whatever works for me, but still, there are SO MANY BRILLIANT/SMART people on this board, I want your opinions, without this board and the great people on it, I would have went crazy years ago. Thank you in advance.
  4. I am also using the 8 oz. tureen jar. My wax is Golden Brand 415 (soy) and I have had good results w/HTP 1312 or 62-51-18z (1-wick) I really did not want to use a zinc wick in my soy candles, but I do like the 62, verses the HTP 1312. I had to order the HTP's out of state which meant paying for the wicks and then shipping was almost as much as the wicks, so I am thinking I am going to stick w/the 62's, since I can get them locally. I don't dye my candles, just FO and wax (if that is any help to you) I have some extra wicks, so if you want me to send you some, I will. Just e-mail me: mel-ken@swbell.net.
  5. I live in N.E. Oklahoma and Scenturycandles in Muskogee, OK sells Golden Brand. I purchase the 415 wax. If you call her or order from her, tell her Melinda w/M & S Candles referred you to her. She is always helpful. Good luck.
  6. Thank you SO MUCH!!! I will try it, I have all of my stuff at work and I am at home right now, I am going to try that today and then I will let you know. Thank you again, Melinda
  7. I was in avery design pro also, but how do you put a circle around it? (I know that sounds dumb, but I worked on the dumb thing for over 4 hours the other night) I have been able to get the font I want and center it on the 2 1/2 circles. I just don't know how to put a circle around it, please help - thank you. Oh, one other thing I did all the work typing in about 10 different sayings on the labels picking out the font/color and everything and then I could not save it to a disc?
  8. I have purchased 2 1/2 in white circle labels for the top of my container (gold lids) and I downloaded software off of avery.com. I can't figure out or it won't let me make a border around the circled label. I want to put my message in the center of the label and then just circle it. You would think it would be no biggy, but it is. Will I have to purchase some other type of software or does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for all of your help in advance. Melinda
  9. You guys are "GREAT" thank you for the quick replies I will definately use some of the names that were mentioned. It is like a get a brain fart when it comes time for me to re-name FO's, I always second guess my self. Thank you all so much!!! Melinda
  10. I purchase my blueberry muffin from wholesalesuppliesplus.com. l love it and it is my number one seller!!! I usually first sell the blueberry muffin to the wife (even though I have had men purchase it by themselves) and when she does not have time to call me or come by and pick one up, the man does. It blows my mind. I have even had the men call me at my other work, to make sure I have a b.b.muffin candle, if not I have to make some. Another story, it is kinda funny my son (17) had a friend that would come to the house a few days out of the week after school and he wanted to make sure that I would be making b.b.muffin candles on the days he would come over. He ended up moving to Wisconsin and he came home for Christmas (called long distance) to tell me to make him some candles and what day would I be making them, because he wanted to come over to our house that day. I sent some candles home with him. I have not found ANYONE that does not like this FO. On their webite is says there is cake accord (not cake bake) and b.b.muffin (mixed together) I think it is $15.25 per pound. I even mailed a sample of it to a place that makes/mixes their own FO's and they could not get it right, so I said the heck w/it and I just buy it from them. If you purchase $50.00 or more the shipping is free. I will mail you a sample of what I have if you would like, I am just trying to think what to put it in, since everything I have is in big quantity. E-mail me at mel-ken@swbell.net and let me know your address. You might give me a suggestio of what to put it in also. I think you will love it.
  11. I will be going to a craft show the end of March (Church) and I was wanting to re-name some the FO's (example) Fresh bread=Breaking of the Bread, Hot Apple Pie=Mary's kitchen, Vineyard=Fruit of the vine, etc. I would like to make cinnamon candles because they are so strong, but I don't know what to re-name it? I don't want to offend anyone. I really don't want to use the word devil. I just don't know. Need your help please. Thank you
  12. If you will e-mail me (Mel-Ken@swbell.net) your address I will be more than happy to mail you some HTP 1312 wicks (I purchased 100 of them from Millcreek) I am using them and have been happy w/the results so far. I will give you like 20 (if that is enough). Melinda
  13. Fairwayglass out of Dallas, Texas has 7 oz. tumbler's at a good price, I don't kow were you live, but they have 2 or 3 other locations in the U.S. You might check with them and see if they have any smaller sizes. I have ordered from them before and was really happy with them. If you order, you might ask them about how many boxes of the tumbler's can they put in one big box (it use to be 3) and it is worth purchasing 3 boxes/verses the 2 boxes (not much difference in the price). Hope this helps, Melinda
  14. I was told that you can make your own FO for chocolate covered strawberries. 50/50 on strawberry jam and Hershey's chocolate, I have not tried it yet, but planning on it. What does the Pink Sugar smell like?
