  1. I have not gotten started yet! I still need to figure out what I need to mosaic! I would love to mosaic a picture for my livingroom or even a coffee table. I think this weekend I will take a look around at different thrift stores for a nice wooden coffe table and take it from there! It should be interesting! Keep me posted!

  4. Hello to all... a newbie here! I am having a constant problem with my pillar candles. A line develops on the side of the candle along the mold line. What's causing this??????:embarasse

  6. I did the repour after my holes in both candles. I am using a sample kit from Peak Candles. I am thinking that I should have started with a different type of candle.
  7. I was so excitied to begin my new hobby! But, my fast candle came out cracked on the side although it smelled lovely. I tried my second candle last night! Cranberry Citrius the color was horrible! Almost pink (I used dye chips) the top was sunken in and m feelings were hurt! I am considering giving up because I come online everyday and see such beautiful masterpieces and I wonder....Am I a candle artist?????? Please help!

  11. I am a newbie, but I will be trying a few lavender and vanilla pillars and a few layered candles! I will also be shopping around for pillar wicks at Hobby Lobby.:highfive:
  12. I thought that I had waited far too long. I just didn't have anytime to pour the entire candle in one day, but this weekend I will try. The color came out beautiful though. Brown and Ivory layers with a mix of vanilla and maple. YUMMY
  13. I will post a picture of my first candle later. But I have a few questions. I started pouring my candle LAST SUNDAY, I would pour one layer at a time. I noticied the last two layers are "movable" and they do not stick to the other layers. What could be the cause of this? Thanks:confused:

  15. Hello all... a newbie here. I am trying out my first candle and I haven't completed it yet! But I have a question....How do you get even layers throughout the candle? Right now I am pouring and using an eye measurement but I am sure there is a professional way. Any suggesstions?

  17. Hello to all! I am so happy that I have found your wonderful community!! I have read over many post and threads and I am still curious! There are so many things that one must know to begin candle making. Is there any particular candle that is best to start with or should I just dive right in and begin pouring?
