  1. Would you say the Oakmoss & Amber could be considered a masculine scent? or is it more perfumey? Thanks again
  2. Can anyone give me a review on one or both of these scents from Candle Science? I'm looking for a woodsy scent to be used in soy. Also, are they difficult to wick? Thanks much!
  3. Has anyone smelled both of these? Could you please give a comparison - same, similar, not even close? Thanks much!
  4. I got this from Royal Aromatics a couple years ago and I love it. I've used it in CP soap - it's strong and does not discolor. Also used it in soy candles and does well there too. hth :smiley2:
  5. I agree with Deb, Amish Harvest is a stronger spicier scent and Celtic Moonspice is a little more mellow. Both great scents!
  6. I love Millcreek's Stormwatch - great in soy too. I've never tried Peaks and didn't care for BCN's version.
  7. That does sound yummy. Has anyone tried it in wax? I've been trying to resist but I may just have to order some samples from them. Scented ~ hope you'll post an update on your CP after it's cut...
  8. Does it smell anything like those "essence of Jesus" candles everyone was talking about last year? I saw one in a local gift shop and it smelled really good. Pricey - but it did smell nice.
  9. I wasn't crazy about the scents I tried from them :undecided
  10. I like Turquoise but not everyone "feels" it like I do (right Scented...did you pour it yet sister?). I have become totally addicted to this scent. I put it in soy wax and it throws like crazy. I wouldn't expect that everyone would like this as it's rather unique but I think it's just beautiful. I'd like to soap it next - anyone try it in CP?
  11. I usually use 1.1 - 1.2 oz. per lb and there are a couple scents that I can use even less. I've found that I really don't need to use the full 1.5 oz. to get a strong throw with most scents in KY125 - and it can affect the burn if I use too much.
  12. I think this one smells different than the other fresh linen/clean cotton types I've tried. Not quite sure how to describe it - still smells like a fresh laundry scent but it's different somehow - doesn't have that sharp edge to it. This is my favorite laundry fragrance and I do think it's worthy of getting a sample.
  13. Creative Candle Supply has Comfy Cabin, not sure if it's the same though.
  14. The only one I've tried is Satin Sheets and it's really nice - kind of a soft, musky, florally scent - very popular.
  15. Has anyone ordered Lebermuth oils from ICS? Haven't been on their site for a while and just noticed them. It looks like a few scents are available in 1 oz. samples but most are not from what I can tell. Are they stocking these oils at ICS or do you have to pay shipping from another site if you order both ICS and Lebermuth oils? I've never tried any scents from Lebermuth but some of them sound interesting... any recommendations for soy? Thanks for any input
  16. I think Vanilla Extract from BCS could be considered a vanilla "bean" scent. It doesn't have the buttery notes that some vanillas do and it does well in soy. Don't know about a tealight though, I think it would be tough to get any vanilla to throw well in a tealight.
  17. Candle Cocoon's Fairy Dust & Twinkle Toes (or something like that) is really nice.
  18. 2 - 51 cotton or paper core wicks should work nicely with that wax in an apothecary jar (for an average wicking fragrance).
  19. I mix my own Jack Frost. 70/30 KY Southern Vanilla/Icy Peppermint. It is sooo good
  20. I have really good luck with paper core wicks in soy. Don't hear of too many people using them but they really are good dependable wicks and I like how they stay straight and don't give me an uneven melt pool. I tested 2 60 P in an apothecary with Peak's Clove thinking it would be really tough to burn and they were too hot. I usually use 2 - 44P or 51P in this jar. I could send you a couple to try if you want. Just send me a pm....
  21. I've poured the Wild Mountain Honey in soy and it has a really good throw in KY125. It's a little more floral than I was expecting. I'm not a big floral lover but I do like this. I have a sample of Peak's Brown Sugar & Fig which I haven't poured yet but oob it smells right on to BBW. I tried Just by Nature's version too and it just wasn't quite right. Peak's smells more like the original to me.
  22. Those are wet spots and most of us have trouble with them from time to time. I find that warming my jars prior to pouring helps and making sure you're pouring your EZ soy cool (slushy) can help too. And sometimes it seems like nothing helps....
  23. Scratch Cake Vanilla Extract Citrus Splash Curious about the Whipped Cream - does it smell like vanilla? or Buttercream? Do you use it alone or as a mixer and is it strong in soy?
