  1. Here is another mold http://www.midwestmolds.com/store/WsDefault.asp?One=274
  2. Yep, his molds are custom crafted, and are awesome! Very sturdy construction, and absolutely love this mold. Very well worth the money. I personally think he should charge more. More of these molds will be in my future, I will not order another mold except from Jeff. It is awesome!
  3. I just had to share how wonderful this mold is. It was made by itsmejeff, and I have no complaints at all. Love this mold! Very thick, very sturdy, and by request, he also made me a lid for it. I have actually had this mold for awhile now, but havent had alot of time to test it. I have made 3 batches, 1 with the lid. No ashing of the bars so far! I think this lid will get lots of use! Anyways, here are the pics! I soaped my usual recipe, with pistachio dream cake from backwoods, and I also used my peacock dyes from my secret buddy! Thank you so much! I will add cut pics when I get some time!
  4. Spiders crawl your site for information. Google, yahoo, MSN, etc...use it to get information such as meta tags, etc...This is used for searching purposes. When someone types in a search for your business, or information on candles, it will show up on your search list. For example: I type in Candles in yahoo search. Millions of candle sites will show up on the list. This is what the spiders do. Get the information, to put you on the list. If someone types in your business name, everything that is on your pages should show up on the list. If spiders dont crawl your site....well, you wont get as much exposure, or any. spiders are good!

  10. Hey, I am glad I could help! I have been playing alot with my FBB, and I think I am going to have to buy more...:tiptoe: I have been making it in scrubs, and love it! I have tried it regular, and didnt care for it. But...... I was working on a whipped body butter. I dont like the whipped shea after it sits for a day, gets kinda hard, like cool-whip that sits for a day and kinda dries out. But I like the way it melts on my skin on contact, but dont like the greasy feeling afterwards. So I didnt have alot of things to play with at the time, and figured since I like the texture of the FBB, why not add some? Well, the result at first I didnt like, I added more, and then a little bit more....and then a tad bit more. It created this very creamy butter. I tried it as a lotion, but you get that soapy feel. Jumped into the shower with it, but it doesnt lather. And the recipe after testing it in the shower, felt like wax on your skin.....but.....It is awesome for shaving! Nice close shave, and my legs felt awesome! I dont know if the razor itself took the waxy feel away or not, but my legs were soft, smooth and wonderful! So, I have to make up more batches, try them out etc....and then I will start my testers on them. So, play with it, have fun, you never know what you will end up with.....(Just make sure it will be safe!) Good Luck!
  11. I dont think you can use FBB in the foaming pumps, but hey, if you play enough, who knows? I have several of the foaming pumps, and it only requires a small amount of liquid soap and alot of water. With the FBB being a butter, and more on the solid texture, I dont believe it will work. And if you play with FBB for awhile to find a recipe that would be liquid enough, I dont think it would have the foaming qualities it does now. Plus you would have to be concerned with preservatives etc....because you are changing the "texture" of the FBB alot. But you never know....maybe you can find a way to use it that way. Keep testing, and be the mad scientist most of us formulators are!
  12. I base mine on my fragrances, but I dont use the fragrance name. I use a play on words, and religiously use a thesaurus! Example: My salt bar is scented with Breeze in the Keys. I wanted to stick with Ocean in the title because of the salt, typed in breeze in the thesaurus, and came up with the name Ocean Tempest Salt Bar. Tempest is stormy type weather, and complex depending on how you perceive it, and so is my bar. When I typed in Passion, holy cow there were alot of good ideas.....Rapture of Neemo, Neemo lust....etc...lots of different ideas.
  13. I dont know if this will help, but here is a link to the FDA manual. http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-lab3.html
  14. Put the liners on, screw the cap on, and let it sit for a couple of hours. It worked for me! When I just ordered some 4 oz jars with the seals, I found out they also shipped mine with a different type screw on lid for this purpose. I never new there was an extra "tool" until I bought from a supplier instead of the classies. HTH!
  15. Thanks Michele, that is what I was looking for. Lovelylathers, I will be calling them, I have a few more questions. Thanks much for the info!
  16. Ok, I was "creating" last night with my FBB from the Co-op. I was actually making a Body Butter, but decided to add FBB to see if I could get it creamier instead of harder. What resulted was an awesome creamy butter soap for the shower/bath. I love this stuff. Sorry, cant give recipe, because I am going to still play, but I may use it for the next swap I am in. Anyways, the ingredients I used was 8oz of FBB, and 1 or 2 oz of the following: Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive oil, Jojoba Oil, Beeswax and Fragrance. My Question is: I understand that the FBB has the preservative already in it, and supposedly compensates for the extra oils, but does anyone know how much oil it compensates for? Should I add a preservative to be safe, and if so, which one would be the best?
  17. Wow, wonderful site! Very clean and professional. There was an image missing on your soap page, I want to say it was for a chocolate one? It was in the first row, upper right corner. The wording was good, clear and concise, and I agree with prairieannie. Congrats, and good luck on your venture!
  18. Look great for a first try!
