I think that candle is beautiful! And the only fall colors I've seen on trees down here in Texas is brown!

Well, We just got our new candle workroom set up. Have a friend's son to watch in a football playoff game today (his team is undefeated). Then making a couple candles ordered a couple of weeks ago. It's been too hot to try to do too much here in the Dallas area. And with summer utility bills of $500+, I didn't make many candles over the summer. Can't wait to try out new work space! We may have to move some things around to make it easier to get to after trail and error. IT's in my laundry room-1/2 deicated to washing, 1/2 to candles!

I like Donita's sand box idea, but with 3 cats in the house...lol I have a bag of beans I pour into a shallow baking pan, but can only get 2-3 candles in it.

Delightful story! I can relate, having 3 cars myself. Now, throw in a 3 month old fiesty puppy! Gotta love 'em all!

j223 is a good place to start, but why not see if you can get a sample of each and try them all? They all have different properties.

Great looking candles! I haven't made any candles all summer (for the most part-TOO DARNED HOT!) and am in the prosess of taking over a room for my candle workshop. With the cooler weather and my very own space, look out! lol And your candles inspire me to get busy!

I think you did one heck of a job on your first pillar! I don't think my first looked that good at all! Great job!
