I'm a sahm of 2 kids, 4.5 and 14 months old and love making my own cloth dipes, wipes and just everything that's a bit 'crunchy'. I'd love to make my own candles and soaps!

  1. Thanks so much for the ideas!!! I've made some today with DD in an ice cube tray and it worked awesome! DD and DS already took a bath with one tonight; after DH almost ruined it by putting bubble bath in there too *arrgh* DD was delighted to have purple/pinkish water, her favorite color, of course! lol
  2. instead of BB molds??? I've only bought molds for M&P, but haven't used it yet. I also wanted to make some bath bombs, but realized that the molds for that are smaller.. Anything in the house that I'd transform maybe? An ice cube tray??? I'd appreciate your input for a newbie, thank you!
  3. Thanks, E! Oh man, so many links I need to check now and all that w/o any $ right now! *sniff*
  4. Ooh.. great thread for another newbie who's starting out with MP
  5. Thank you! (Sorry for the delayed reply!)
  6. Oh, that sounds good. I'll have to look where to find the coops here on this board and inform myself about the fees and such. Thanks for the hint!
  7. Ok, silly newbie question: Is there any special mineral oil that works the best? I've read somewhere here that some ppl also use Pam spray, would that work aswell?
  8. Thank you, Robin and Jenny, I will check both links out!
  9. I've read once about Emu oil being 'nature's 'botox' I have a tiny bottle I bought months ago together with my mineral makeup. I use it at night for my face aswell as for my scars (c-section) and bikini area after shaving. Never thought of being able to use it for my kids, but I now sure will! Where do you all buy your Emu oil???
  10. Please forgive me if this is one of the questions that has been asked 100x already.. I'm new (as you can see lol) and am honestly a bit overwhelmed by all this yummy smelling sounding stuff, if ykwim? I'd appreciate if someone could tell me a great site where I'd get shea from; possibly also other sites with info on how to create whipped shea cream w/fragnances.. I'd love to make some for my MIL, SILs and mom for Christmas! TIA, Val
  11. I'm not selling shea but love to buy it all the time, if that counts. lol I have a 2oz jar since months now; granted, I only use it at night for my face and hands, but I agree, a little does go a long way when it comes to shea butter. I think I've paid ~6$ incl. shipping.
  12. I voted 'not'; eventhough I like to know that it's nothing bad for my health lol, I still focus more on the smell aswell
  13. Ok, I haven't tried bath bombs yet, but you surely scare me now! lol Who knows, maybe I'll soon join the club too then!?
  14. I'm glad you asked; I was about to ask the same question;) I just started getting interested in making soaps and will try M&P first b4 I possibly dare to move on to making soap from scratch.
