    Thank you everyone. The container had a candle in it someone gave it to me after it was burnt. I know I've seen them somewhere but they were pretty spendy. Yes it is a tealight in a votive. I've made alot of gels it's the only wax I work with. It's funny that alot of people are scared to try it because i'm scared to try any other wax. With gel there is three different kinds with the other wax there are so many I don't know how I would decide which one to use. Anyway I love working with gel. Everything I see I wonder if I can put it in a candle. Angie

    You wont get that line if you heat your glass before you pour the next layer.

    You need to pour in layers. Pour you first layer let it cool place your embeds and pour again.

    Thanks Top. I use gel wax no additives. I notice the ones with mushrooms don't often have an afterglow and not much smoke but I didn't like the big mushrooms so I wicked down and double wicked and also used less fo and now I am getting the afterglow. Zinc core by the way. So I was wondering if there was something I need to try different or do I have to put up with one or the other. Mushroom or afterglow. Thank you

    I think thats the right word. What causes the wick to continue to burn after it's blown out? Is there a reason for it or is it just the wick. Thank you

    I know this has been asked before but I was hoping more people have used them since. For those of you that have used both zinc and low smoke is there much of a difference? I know in other threads it was stated that the low smoke burned hotter but is that the only difference? Are there any advantages to the low smoke? I don't want to waste money on more wicks if there isn't much difference. Thank you Angie

    Ok thats awesome. Where did you get that decal? I love it and also how does that double wicked gel burn? What size wick? I just posted on the gel board about double wicking gel. Yours look great. I'm going to put some together today and see what happens. Great job.

    Is it safe to double wick gel? I have read somewhere that it is not safe so I'm hoping someone can give me an answer. I'm trying to wick a 10 and 16oz apothocary and not getting a good mp. I'm using 60-44-18z and it's not working. Small mp but if I go to a 62 i'm worried about big mushrooms. I'm already getting small ones with the 60's so I was wondering if I could double wick. Thanks for any help.

    I had an FO smoke when I added it to my gel. What causes this? It was fresh roses from gelluminations non-polar I tested and the flash point is 200. I added the FO at 210 and started stiring and it started smoking.

    I'm test burning today zinc core in gel. I have one wick that is (the best way to decribe it) shedding metal shavings. I have never seen this happen before. Thought it was kind of weird. I have another one buning with the same wick and jar different fo and it is fine. I also have two other going with the same fo with different wicks and their fine. Thought I would post and get an opinion. Thanks

    I've never used the Yaley things but from what I have read their not very good. So that could be one of your problems. If you go to the fragrance discription section on this board there is a sticky at the top that gives abriviation explinations and links to many sites for fo's. It's very helpful.

    How do you make gel look creamy? Like for hot chocolate or cappacino. Is there a way or is it better to just go with a brown?

    For those of you that have had them for awhile and are selling them how are you scenting them? Straight FO? Cut with DPG? A drop on each rose? Spraying them? I haven't gotten them yet but I have been trying to decide the best way to scent them since I ordered. I'm thinking spraying cut with dpg would be the best but I don't know. Just wondering what everyone else is doing. What works best for you?
