Has any ever used liquid candle oil? I saw a video on this and I'm not sure what they used. I would like to use this at my daughters wedding..

hi everyone, I am hoping someone can help me out. I went to a garage sale yesterday and this lady was selling candles from her store at really great prices. She was going out of business. my question is she has 576 tappers , i dont use tappers but was wondering if i could melt them down and add some scent and make votives with them? they are all unscented. I have to let her know this morning if i want them.

I just wanted to let you know that it happens with all crafters. I work with mainley wood, just started making melters. my second craft show I did, some lady came up and bought a lot of my things , I was at the time very excited. She had told me about another craft show to go too and set up at. I thought she was being nice and helpful. My friend and I went to the show a couple weeks later just to check it out. as we were walking around I stopped at a booth and looked at my friend and said "That is my snowman then kept looking and found my skies"I couldnt believe it. My friend went up and asked the lady there if she made these and she said yes..... that really p--sed! Me off. I didnt know what to say, I am very quiet. I looked at her , she recongnized me and turned her head. I wish I knew what to say. Isnt it sad that people do this. I would never think of doing something like that.I like to be original, I hate to have the same thing as everyone else. I need help with what to say as well when people ask to many questions. and buy your things and say they make it. When I put all the time in making them. and to top it off she was selling it double of what she bought it for.

Thank you, I thought that as well.Just had to ask to keep my hubby happy..lol I do this in my garage . I really dont have a window in the area but I am able to open the doors if I need to.

did I offend anyone? the only reason i asked is my husband and parents are worried of the smell i am breathing all the time.I said I didnt think it was but, I would ask here and see.If someone would chime in i would appreciate it.

Hi everyone, I just ordered lids with a sealed cardboard attached inside the lid. Has anyone used these? I had the same problem with the plastic covers too.I thought that this would be better... I hope. Deidra

Not a problem any info is so appriciated....I use paraffin wax from cjrobinson .again I bought that as well from the other owner.I have never heard anyone mention this as well.I hope I am using good quality stuff.I have made melters and so far everyone seems to like them... Thank you. I will check these out. I have only bought from them and bittercreek. I bought the oils first form someone who went out of business. I never thought I would be doing candles .I usually work with wood but, now I am loving this candle making.... I am going to try NG today and then I will check out the others. Hi everyone,I have been doing a lot of reading. I was wondering what every ones opionion was about the top 5 suppliers out there. so far I think a lot of you like NG. I started off just doing dipped animals and then made some melters. Since I have been reading I really want to do more candles as well. I have a lot more reading to do.I love a good challenge. I havent seen the supplier I am using . Have any of you heard of candlechem? I like there scents and I really like the $5.00 flat shipping rate. I was wondering if NG 's quality is the same or better then candlechem? It seems that Ng has more scents to choose from. I really like a strong fragrance candle... any info would be greatly appreciated... I need to place another order soon. Thank you Deidra

I am loving the challenge of making candles.:rolleyes2 I was also wondering has anyone ever worked with robwax 2309? I have read soooo much on this site and never heard anyone mention this wax. i just wanted to thank you all again, My votives turned out this time.patience is the key thing with candles.I did have to do 2 repours but, they are nice and smooth on top. Deidra

Thank you, I will do that . There is so much to learn.and there is so much info here. I have alot more reading to do.. I put them in the fridge thinking it would cool faster... guess you cant rush this... I waited maybe 1/2 hour before I did a re pour.someone told me that if I waited to long that the wax will split off the top.Is that true?I actually did 3 repours they looked really nice before I put them in the fridge. I will not do that again. Deidra
