  1. Yes, the news is true. It got to be too much for me to keep up with, as my husband will be in Iraq by the end of the month. There was way too much lifting, and I knew I couldn't do it alone. One that I left out is Bedtime Bath, but I think that one will end up being renamed, as it is not a duplicate of Johnson & Johnson's. I'm very happy that Brent has taken over my oils. I took pride in them, and I know he will, too. I just got off the phone with him, and he said these oils will be in by the middle of next week and will go immediately on his site. Please understand that there is probably going to be a slight price increase. I started these pre-buys just among friends so that we could share the oils, and the news spread like wildfire. I only charged enough for the oils, shipping to me, bottles, and packing materials, so my profit was next to none. Personally, I think it's well worth it to be able to get these oils anytime you want without having to wait. Thank you for all your support. I've had a lot of fun. Wendy
  2. There is just a very slight discoloration with WCA. VBN turns dark brown, just as you would expect from any fragrance that contains vanilla. You may find the scent in VBN fades at first, but give it the full cure time and it's back big as you please.
  3. Invoices will go out tonight. I have been working like a dog to get this done, so please be patient. I had 95 pounds of oil to bottle, label, and package by myself and it was quite a job. I didn't realize just how much DH helped until he wasn't here! He'll be leaving for Iraq in about a month.. I would like all packages to be out of here by Tuesday. If you pay by e-check, your box will not ship until it clears. Thanks everyone for your patience and understanding.I really appreciate it. Wendy
  4. E, Your soaps are positively gorgeous! I would be proud to have you as a tester!
  5. Thanks, everyone for your kind remarks. I wanted to let you know that I am going to close the buy at 9:00 tonight. The response has been overwhelming and I have a lot of work ahead of me. Thank you for your orders. I'll let you know when the oils arrive. Wendy
  6. That was my co-op for the winter candy apple. I am doing one right now through the 29th. E-mail me for details at latherworks@verizon.net.
  7. Someone looking for me? Guess what starts tomorrow and ends on the 29th? Please e-mail me for details at latherworks@verizon.net. I don't want to get my fanny spanked for posting about it on the forum.
  8. I'm having the same problem, too. Has anyone found a replacement wax that comes close? I've heard that KY's pefect blend is pretty good. I hate the thought of starting all over again, but what other choice do we have? Wendy
  9. WOW! The ones I saw online where 4.5 inches in diameter. Would a 62z even do the job? I may have to shop around some more.
  10. My website is: www.latherworks.com. As of yet, I am not a supplier, but it may come to that eventually. I've done many pre-buys for my oils, and so far, people really seem to like them. I sold out of all my oils in the last buy, but I am working on new ones to add. I'm sure I'll be doing more buys in the very near future. You won't see a post about it here, but word does seem to get around. Thank you for your interest, though. :smiley2: Wendy
  11. Yep! I tested it for them. It discolors to a medium tan, but the scent holds up very well. Wendy
  12. Yes, it's VBN, Winter Candy Apple, and Lavish Laundry. That's more than enough this time!
  13. Another one coming on Friday! A very quick one so that we can have the oils for the holiday. Not sure if I'm allowed to post anything about it, so if you would like details, please e-mail me at: latherworks@verizon.net Wendy
  14. LOL! Yes, I do get a lot of e-mails. I thought I had gotten enough oils in the last buy to keep everyone busy for a while, but that didn't happen by a long shot. They keep coming back for more!!! You can always get in touch with me by e-mail at latherworks@verizon.net Wendy
  15. She does them here, too! Look for one starting next week! Wendy
  16. With RA, their oils are pretty much hit and miss. They also have a $50.00 minimum for new customers. I like a few of their oils, but I have also thrown out several. HTH. Wendy
  17. I have not had good luck wicking 8 oz tins using joy wax. The diameter of the tin is about 3.25". I am willing to double wick them if necessary, but I would like to use a single wick if possible. Can someone give me an idea? Preferably not with zinc because I hate them. Thank you! Wendy
  18. I'm using medium density gel that came from NG. At first, I thought maybe the gel was bad because that's when I started having the problem. So, I bought some from candles and supplies and had the same thing happen. I'm using zinc wicks.
  19. I bought some black cherry from rustic escentuals about a year and a half ago. It still smells wonderful from the bottle, and when I add it to my gel, it smells great. I used to have good luck making 3 & 5" pies. The problem is, when I make my pies, you can't smell them when they are burning. Is it possible that the fo is too old? I want these pies to blow your socks off! Can anyone recommend a better fragrance, or should I just scrap this bottle and get a newer one? I feel like an idiot for asking. I've never had a problem with any of my fragrances getting old. Thanks! Wendy
  20. Is there much difference between the 225 and 223? I bought a slab of 225 from candlesandsupplies a couple of weeks ago and I do like it. I just think the price is way too expensive.
  21. I bought some recently and I'm not having any problems with it at all. I've been using it for about 2 years now and I haven't noticed any difference. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones, but I usually don't have that kind of luck... If you like, I could send you a little bit so that you can try it....Just let me know. Wendy
  22. Well, this will probably get me kicked in the rear, but here it is! Vanilla Bean Noel - $13.00 a pound Winter Candy Apple - $14.00 a pound Both oils are soap safe and work very well in wax. (Soy, too!) Ending date: 9/30/06. As long as I have payment by 8:00 Monday morning, there is still time! Paypal address is latherworks@verizon.net . Order will be called in on 10/2/06 at 9:00 AM Oils take about a week and a half to arrive. I will send you a separate invoice for your exact shipping when your oils are boxed up and ready to ship. That should take me about 48 hours from the time the oils arrive. Very soon, I will have a page on my website for the pre-buys. It will make life so much easier. This is my 5th pre-buy on these oils and everyone seems to be very happy with them. Hope that helps some. Wendy
  23. I have soaped with it. It turns out dark brown, but the scent holds up beautifully. You'll have no problems with it.
  24. Well aren't you sweet! Thank you very much for the kind words. Yes, my e-mail program was going nuts and I may not have received all the messages. If I didn't respond, please give me another yell. This one is definitely a go! Wendy
  25. Does anyone double wick their 12 oz pumpkin jars? I use joy wax and have used a 60z with a fair amount of success. Does anyone have a better suggestion? I'd really rather use two wicks. Wendy (military_wife)
