  1. just finished some candles with parafin wax. Why are they different colors where the re-pour is?
  2. parafin wax. basically the stuff you can buy at the local craft store.
  3. ok-what do you suggest? Really new, and don't know much, but am learning:D
  4. Hi! Just figured out how to get rid of my bubbles, and now I have white stuff in my candles, almost like wax that didn't melt. I am using parafin wax and am pouring at 200. Also, anyone know how to make the wax adhere better to glass for container candles?
  5. Hey My freedom is so means much to me, so to say thank you doesn't seem like much , but it's the most I can do. Praying for our armed forces. Thanks for serving.
  6. oh, and it happened in both the container and the mold candle
  7. used parafin wax with a pour temp of 190. has a essencial oil fo and color. does that help?
  8. ok, so i just made some candles, but the tops of them have bubbles on them. Why???
  9. k-i feel a bit dumb here, but what does it mean to "twist"???
  10. Hi! Just started reading this board and am still confused on the wich sizes and types. Are there any guidelines that you can start with>? I know that the frangrnce and wax type may cause you to have to wick up or wick down, but how do you know where to start? And how do you now if it's burning the rigt way. What book should I be reading that all of you probably already have? :yay:
  11. :) Thanks you so much for the information. I never knew that there was that much of a difference. I can understand, thought, why people choose soy over parafin. Can you mix the two?
  12. Hi! I just got started with candles and was using mainly parafin wax that I could find in the local crafts stores. However, I don't like it. I was wondering if you could tell me where to find out about the different waxes, mainly soy wax. There are so many books out there, and they seem to have different ideas on which works best. also, what are the numbers that are used to refer to wax? Thanks for your time!
