  4. Ok, the gal will be shipping and stocking the candles, she is just wanting more exposure and since I don't have jar candles anymore it would be nice to still offer them.. I will be taking the orders off my website with the fees involved, then faxing the order to her, it will be her responsibility to ship.. She will get the majority of the sale of course, but since my site is ranked in the top 20 of google , sometimes on page 1 it is worth something. We can both win here if I can get it setup and we both agree. thanks for your comments.. Diane
  5. hI, Everyone, I don't usually post much here, but lurk around for great advice usually.. I am in the process of placing a gals candle line on my website, this will be jar candles. I am doing this because I have stopped making candles and still want to offer them to my customers. The gal currently does not have a website setting and is interested in doing this for more exposure.. What I need to know is this, what would be fair compensation for this service to her. I will be setting it up for her , will adding the candles to one of my pages. I would possibly do this for her for free, but when and if a order gets placed what would be a fair amount of commission for my service .. I don't want to scare her away .. but we would have to set up some kind of system to make sure everyone is happy with how the orders are handled and money is distributed.. anyone have a similar situation or comments.. I would love to hear them.. thanks Diane

  9. The trouble I had was it was too weak, not to thick, and this has happen once before. My supplier said he was going to look into it, because I sent him a picture of the huge difference in bottles I had received from him.. I appreciate everyone responding.. keep it coming.. Diane

  11. Hi Everyone, thanks for reading, I have to vent alittle I have been buying liquid dyes from the same supplier for quite some time.. On a few occasions the thickness of the dyes has been different. so I get this dye today, and pour some candles and the dye colors very lite.. I am really frustrated by how much it fluctuates.. I am paying the same price and I have emailed him and show him the differences in my last dye..not sure he will do anything about it.. does anyone have a supplier that has consistent dye, or close even..?? please share with me.. also I could have changed dye supplier but that would mean starting all over on testing.. so I am not sure what the answer is..I have always used liquid dye anyone have similiar issues with dye?? Diane

  13. Hi everyone, what do you all do when you have a cancellation of a online order.? I dealt with this gal half a day or so thru emails with this order she placed on my website, now she says to cancel it after I have it charged to her card and ready to go.. should a person have a policy in place for this type of situation? what would you do? Diane
  14. I am too looking at their oil burners, do you just use them with oil, or can you also use them as a tart burner. If just oil, can you use your on fragrance oils that you use to make candles, or are they special oils?? Diane
  15. Hi everyone, would like some input and suggestions, thanks in advance I have been wondering with how the internet is becoming do we need to have some sort of logo on our website to show it is a safe place to shop, that their information is not being used for other purposes, and so on I have noticed some website have these ssl certificates, and some have privacy certificates. I know there is a cost involved and is it worth doing? I think it is a good idea, but I currently don't have anything setup Any suggestions on where to go to have this done and setup, so I can reassure my present and future customers that they are safe when shopping at my website.. Diane

  19. HI Everyone, just wanted to ask all of you that do online sales, if you are staying busy., and are getting sales thru your website, being retail or wholesale.. I have been online now for around 5 years, I have a newsletter subscriber list of over 1000, and send out letters every month with specials and such. What I am noticing from previous years , "now this is my experience only", is that sales are down for me, and not just alittle but a lot.. Last year was pretty good for online sales, but this year it is like pulling teeth.. What's everyone experience and how do I turn this around.. Diane
  20. HI, does anyone know where I can get the clamshells that everyone is currently using for tarts, but without the sections.. ?? thanks in advance Diane
  21. Just want to say I appreciate all your feedback, and this has really helped me decide what I will do. It is always good to hear other opinions and suggestions.. thanks again Diane
  22. The gal I talked to isnt the gal that ordered, this gal just works together in the same shop.. She stated , so she said that they have been off the shelf for more than a month, and just hasnt had time to call, also she said she would not place another order.. and that she was not advised of the soy issues.. If I only would of kept my "sent to" emails, I usually let people know that shipping in the hotter months can create problems, although I know I did send them out to some wholesale inquiries , I am not sure if she got the email as having this stated..dang!! I really don't want them back, by the time I get them back and cost and such it is a pain.. I know they probably have issues, heck I did ship when we were hot here.. so if I did refund, what would be fair.. thanks everyone for responding, I have to talk with here again on Tuesday, so I need to be prepared as to what I should do and say.. Diane
  23. HI Everyone, just needed to vent alittle.. Just got a call from a wholesale customer ,. She received a soy candle order in May of this year , and is now calling complaining that she is unhappy with the looks of the candles, so much that she has taken them off the shelves. As we all know soy candles frost as they sit for awhile.. I have never had a customer ever complain of this before, but I do realize where she is coming from.. Has anyone ever had this issue ?? I guess the best thing to do is to possibly do some sort of refund, it makes me however wonder how often this has happened and no one said anything.. I know I have tried many things in trying to get these soy candles to look better, but face it , with the wax I am using , the shelf life is limited. Everyone seems to want natural , but that does come with a price.. I do know that it was also warm when I shipped them in May and it could of contributed to the problem , plus shipping in a hot area.. makes me really want to reavalulate my business, with these hard to work with soy issues.. thanks for listening.. Diane
