really? everything I've read online suggests 8-12 of water/milk/oil/etc. per pound of rebatch.

I'm a novice soaper, and I want to try my hand at CP soap making. I've found a lot of recipes online, and they all make much more soap than I could ever use, so I was thinking that if I made one of these recipes I could "rebatch" it to make several different kinds of soap. I've read some horror stories about rebatching, and am kind of scared I'm going to really screw it up, so it was suggested by someone I know to check this ask here about it. this is the recipe I'm *thinking* of make: "CCCastile" from millersoap.com 72 ounces olive oil 12 ounces coconut oil 6 ounces castor oil 24 ounces water 12 ounces lye I picked this recipe because I can get all the ingredients locally (except the lye). is it suitable to rebatching? I've also read that some people swear by rebatching soap ASAP, but other swear by letting it cure for at least 2 weeks. which do you think is better? if it makes a different these are the "rebatches" I'd like to attempt: 1.) 1 pound rebatch + 1 cup of pure aloe vera liquid (not the gel, the 100% aloe vera liquid) 2.) 1 pound rebatch + 1 cup goats milk 3.) 1 pound reatch + coconut oil (not sure on the amount, but I'd like it to be really moisturizing, and I've read about using as much as 9 ounces). edit: I'll be letting each of these soak into the shredded rebatch overnight. thanks
