  1. Thanks barbaranj for the offer. I actually have Christmas Tree fragrance I found during my search. But it is the true tree that people love and buy throughout the year. I have even tried different manufacturers, no luck. It is very disheartening. I tried to have one of them duped, no good. So just discontinued the oils because there was nothing as good out there (that I have found in my searching.) I figured someone by now would have picked up those oils. Or at least some of the top of the line ones!
  2. Years ago Willowwoods had an awesome fragrance called Christmas Wreath Type. It smelled just like a TRUE tree. I have tried many companies with what they call pine, fir, etc. The manufacturers have succeeded at the cleaning fluid smell, but no a true tree smell. I am about ready to give up. Anyone have any ideas....as WW has long been out of biz and cannot find a company who took over her fragrances. TIA for your help/info.
  3. Thanks all for the suggestions and recommendations. I definitely have several from which to choose.....now to place some orders!
  4. Due to poor customer service, deleting a supplier. Now looking for an awesome, TRUE rose fragrance oil. Any recommendations? Thanks
  5. I was at a show this past weekend. After smelling all of the candles on the shelf, a lady brings up two jar candles with cash blowing out of her hands onto the ground. She asks what I would charge for two jar candles (implying a discount). I kindly replied back, "A jar candle is $6.50, so two would be $13.00" She quickly put them back and bought neither one. I look at it this way, I will definitely sell them at my next show or online. I am all about giving repeat/good customers or those who make large purchases a discount. But don't EXPECT a discount just because you want one. That isn't going to happen!
  6. I have found that that is not always the case. I have had fragrances "duped" to try to get rid of "nasty" suppliers, but the "duped" ones are not identical to the original, or the throw is off or.... AND I have spent MUCH money on samples to try to replace from other suppliers. So I truly feel your pain ksranch!!
  7. I can only recommend Peak Candle Supplies. In addition to quality fragrance oils, their customer service is OUTSTANDING. Just last week Ashley went above and beyond to assist me in a situation. You definitely see very little of that type of "caring" for customers in this day and age. Kudos!!
  8. That is exactly how I would describe it. However, the fragrance itself is not too soft. A big seller for me....and has been for years! If you are the least bit interested, I would suggest getting a sample.
  9. lol...I got the same email. I use the "delete" button.
  10. I sell mine very cheaply alone. You can also sell with the refresher oil for more $$...
  11. They actually posted it somewhere. I saw it this weekend. All she said was she uses Mod Podge on the outer part of the pillar, then rolls the candle in the dazzle dust. I think she said she applies the Mod Podge by dabbing it on. I have used Mod Podge for a lot of projects and love it. I use a sponge "brush" to apply. It is very easy cleanup too. Good luck.
  12. Glass is pretty easy to clean. Any dish detergent that emulsifies oil (Dawn, Joy, etc) or other cleaners like Shaklee Basic H work great. Most of my candle making supplies/containers are glass.
  13. I have made a few and I have found that if I let the candle burn for a long period of time, the melt pool increased to where the outer candle edge rolled down nicely. However, I had also overdipped mine, too. So that makes a difference. Keep burning and testing. Good luck.
  14. I used to carry them and they outsold the other ones I had. However, I was not impressed with the wattage 12-14 watts were the ones I had. Being the smaller wattage, they took much longer to melt the melts/tarts and sometimes the smaller wattage ones had a ring of unmelted wax around the outside edge. However, they work great for those who use very LOW mp wax or just f/o. Jackel products are very nice and I have nothing bad at all to say about their customer service. If you are wanting some of their products, give them a call and find out the higher wattage ones and order those to have on hand. I would make sure if you list the warmers on your site, be sure to list the wattage too. Good luck!!
  15. Honestly, I have never had a problem with these melting in my car...and the temp is well over 110! However, I have had a customer tell me that hers melted. I have not been consistent with the beads supplier. And I imagine the fragrance oil makes a difference too. So I am being a little more picky with my bead supplier.
  16. What do you mean "start"? They have been going up....and I see no end in sight!! And that is the sad truth--we are all in trouble! Oh, and MY world is NOT little!
  17. Maybe I am missing something here. I already pay taxes on the credit card sales (and other sales) I make--hence it gets reported. So just another form??
  18. It does seem that people are expecting a helluva lot from little candles and melts. And from some postings, some people are even nit-picking the packaging for long term storage!! WT....? Seems that some people want endless throw from candles and melts with packaging that doesn't "leak scent" but yet allows them to be able to sniff the candle/melt. IMHO, they can go back to buying from the dollar stores and Wallyworld!!!!
