  1. Peach Magnolia Raspberry :smiley2:
  2. Yes! Peaks version is awesome. I love this scent!!!
  3. http://www.texascandlesupply.net/index.html They're a ".net" and not a ".com" -- makes it a little trickier to find. Happy shopping!
  4. I've tried all of the wicks and I keeping coming back to the zincs.
  5. I like the cello bags from Cierra Candles too... nice selection of sizes. They also have twisty ties in a wide range of colors.
  6. Brambleberry has a nice selection. Their Orange Chocolate Truffle is scrumptious!
  7. I tried a sample of Red Currant & Thyme Tea (from Lone Star) recently in some room & body spray and loved it, loved it! I'm not sure how to actually describe this fragrance though... Definitely gonna have to order some more of this one. Wonder how much different it is from the Red Currant & Sage?
  8. I did these today in some M&P soaps and they turned out great! Raspberry Cream with Spearmint (equal parts) 2 parts Coconut Lime Verbena with 1 part White Tea & Ginger 2 parts Watermelon with 1 part Pink Grapefruit I love experimenting.....
  9. Yes, the red candle on the right looks really bad as far as the wick placement. I wouldn't buy it... but the idea is cute.
  10. I've tried the Wintermint, Caffe Latte, and Vanilla Swirl from WSP and like them all. They're pre-sweetened but not too sweet. Just ordered some new flavors from Brambleberry (they have a nice selection) but haven't received them yet. Most of theirs are unsweetened, though. Can't wait to try them!
  11. Periodically I will add a good amount of bleach to the tub filled with hot water and run the jets for a while to clean them out and kill those bad smelly scoobies that are hanging out in the system. Then drain, refill with water and run the jets to rinse out the residual bleach in the lines. Got this tip from one of those home improvement shows and it really does work. (Note: If you're sensitive to bleach fumes, like I am, you may want to open the windows or somehow get some extra ventilation going in there.) I hate scrubbing bathtubs. Ya know that annoying ring that you get sometimes? Anyway, I found that Greased Lightning and Goo-Gone work terrific. Just spray it on, leave it for a minute or so, and you can wipe that ring away with hardly any effort. My tub is cultured marble and these products have not harmed it anyway. Forgot to mention, that we also avoid using a lot of oil type products with the whirlpool.
  12. I'm with MarieJeanette on the concave mold. It's my absolute favorite mold and makes a nice looking soap. I am fond of the rectangles, too though. I shrink wrap but have to be careful sometimes to not overheat 'cause the edges of my soap will starting melting a little. Sometimes I'll just wrap them neatly in some plastic wrap and then tuck them in a little cello bag.
  13. Lonestar Candle Supply carries both of these.
  14. Warm cinnamon toast and a steaming cup of cocoa. Reminds me of Mom and a cool autumn morning.
  15. I find making candles to be a HUGE stress reliever. My day job is a pressure cooker and I so look forward to the weekends when I can just tinker around in pursuit of my quest to create the perfect candle! I love the challenge of it all and when I'm in my kitchen I don't even think about anything else. All that stress just MELTS AWAY.
  16. I buy shrink wrap bags from ULINE shipping supplies. You can get boxes of 500 bags in different sizes and I think they're priced very reasonably... plus their shipping is really fast. They have distribution centers in every region of the country. They have a website.
  17. Orchard from Brambleberry. It's a very intense apple scent. At least it smells like apple to me!
  18. I definitely vote for wick pins. Votives are just so much easier when you use them.
  19. So fast you all are! I was leaning towards the tubes all along, guess I just wanted some affirmation. Tubes it is!
  20. What a perfect name--- warm pumpkin crunch! I want to eat it. :rolleyes2
  21. What's your preference? From a practical standpoint I like the tube. On the other hand I find the pots to be a bit more elegant the only drawback is getting the balm under your fingernails when your dipping into it.
  22. Snowdrift Farm carries dendritic salt. They have a pretty wide selection of sea salts too. Shipping costs are a bear, though.
  23. Congrats! I get so frustrated with wicks sometimes that when I get one to work perfectly it's pure joy and pandemonium. Would you mind telling which FO and dye you used?
  24. Mediterranean Fig from Peaks. Haven't tried it yet but OOB it smells divine. What color would ya'll recommend for this one as a candle?
  25. Bittercreek South has one that's pretty nice... sweet & buttery. They sent me one as a free sample and I really liked it. They are in Texas as you are, so shipping would be really fast.
