  1. These are all very pretty, but I have to be partial to the hurricanes since I've been wanting to try making them for so long.
  2. Amazing Grace has always sold for me with every age group. Although I haven't been trying to market or sell for several months, I still put lotion in the restrooms at the Elks and VFW. I put Amber Romance in the day of the Veteran's Day dinner and got several orders for it tht same night.
  3. I've tried it and find it better than any of the others I've tried. Better to me means that it was able to handle fo without thinning with just a very small amount. I never liked using crothix and didn't like the consistency of it. Also, I've not used commercial soap in quite a few years, and I'm no longer running for the lotion bottle like I used to. This body wash doesn't give me that same great feeling, but it's as close as I've come to it. I'm a bar soap girl, but if I were to convert, this would be my choice. No time to work on making my own liquid soap.
  4. I haven't made a gel candle in quite some time because of the rising cost of making it and then not being able to charge enough to even cover my costs. Who knows--maybe there's some lottery winner out there with more $$ than brains. BTW--I had to learn the red sand thing, too.
  5. Purty! I haven't made soap in months and gotta get to it. Think I'll start with lavender!
  6. I haven't made this in quite some time, but I have packaged it in cello bags with a tent card when I wanted to do smaller amounts than the milk jugs. I have seen others package it in the tin tie bags.
  7. I use their Philosophy dupes and am very satisfied. I used the real thing for many years.

    dip in tarts

I mainly use 4625 and don't bother about the dip.
  9. After using the one from AH I never found any reason to try another. It's wonderful.
  10. The only one I've tried is the one from SW. Very sexy scent for sure. I've never tried it in wax, though.
  11. Until recently, I'd never used this fo but had always seen bayberry in varying shades of green. I did just complete a custom order for a wedding of bayberry pillars in burgundy.
  12. Linda at Stone Stew has the most beautiful potpourri blends I've ever seen anywhere. The website is www.stonestew.com She's a wonderful supplier, and I email her if I don't see something that I'm looking for in case she's traveling.
  13. I was really surprised when I read the email this a.m. I have enjoyed so much being able to meet Kelly and hear her speak and demo at conferences and know that their closing will be a loss to the industry. Now I just have to control myself and not go fool ordering sale items.
  14. Looks great! It makes me want to get back into making this type of candle.
  15. I like www.bayousome.com for most of mine--but sometimes I can't use 50 at a time. They're in GA, have great customer service, fair prices, fast shipping.
  16. These look great! Cold pour pillars with 4625 is my choice for candles these days. I got a little bored doing container candles a few years back and started doing rustics instead. I love unmolding and seeing the results--although I've got a lot of strange ones. They just go in the "hurricane and storm" candle cabinets.
  17. I have never been disappointed in anything from BW. There are so many that I want to try and no time!!! BTW--their lilac is wonderful.
  18. I couldn't help myself. As awesome as the pics are, I bet anything they don't do justice to the real thing. I had to order a couple of bars, but I already know that my niece is gonna get them as part of her birthday present. My soaps just aren't glitzy enough for a teenager!
  19. I'd love some input about their flavor oils as well.
  20. I make a "tent" card using Print Shop for my cupcake soaps. On the front of the foldover, I put scent, co name, etc. On the back, the ingredients, etc. I get 6 per sheet and cut. I use cardstock. I have plenty of room to punch a hole and hang if I wanted.
  21. Thanks. I went to the SRB and didn't find but one review, and it wasn't very informative. CM is one of those scents that I always need to have on hand. I sometimes get a little frustrated that some of my CM customers won't try anything new, and then when I make something with it I remember why it's so popular. I know a lot of folks are already doing and planning for fall scents, but we have a LOT more hot weather ahead of us here.
  22. Cucumber Melon or Green Irish Tweed? If so, how'd you like them?
  23. I've used both and find them to be different. I consider the BW PC almost a clean scent with a little bakery note vs more of a spicy note to the CS PS. If you haven't tried BW Honey Gingergread--go for it! I would have never figured this one to be one of my faves for soap, but it is. It's great in wax, too. I had some soap and scrub in the HG stashed that I just rediscovered. Summer or not--it still is an awesome bathing experience.
