  1. It's lovely, and I'd be stopping and shopping as well! Congratulations!
  2. I've never put CLV in wax, but I just soaped the one from SGS. It's divine. I also like the one from CS.
  3. So glad to read this--I got several scents from SGS this past wk (new to me) and getting ready to soap this one as soon as my lye mixture cools.
  4. Your soaps are dreamy, and I envy your pics!
  5. I was posting at the same time as Trudi, and I did overhear a couple of customers remark that they liked only having to pay once at the checkout. I also meant to say that there was no minimum fee--just a straight 25% of sales. We were each given an "order" pad with our names on it and only had to put the total the customer owed.
  6. I did one a couple of years ago that was held by a group doing a fundraiser in conjunction with their Christmas Tour of Homes. I had previously read some posts of bad experiences, but mine was really good. The craft show stop was on the "tour" and the only bathroom stop for the shoppers. The visitors were fairly well-to-do females 50+. The terms were similar to your description. I received my check in less than a week after the show, and it was great not having to deal with a $$ box. I don't have a cc processing method, so that worked in my favor as well.
  7. My top 2 faves are the Red Sedona and the Lavender Vanilla. I've not yet put either in wax and really should. The Berries & Lillies is divine, but I've only put that one in wax. Have you soaped that one, anyone? Seems I read it seizes. Of course, being from the beach, I love, love, love At the Beach. The Lemon Chiffon is what I've replaced the LLC with. Oh, and the Cedar/Cardamon? Can't remember exactly the name. It's fabulous is soap--almost masculine but not so much that I don't love it as well.
  8. Personally, I don't care for it and had never used it until this past fall. I had a custom order to do for a wedding--the bride wanted fluted pillars and votives in burgundy in this scent. It kinda "grew" on me to the point where at least I could stand it, but I won't be buying any more of this fo.
  9. Soap or candles? I'm looking for one for soap and b&b. The one from AH/RE is nice, but I'm open to suggestions.
  10. I'm not certain at all how realistic these are, but I did a lot of testing in paraffin with the one from CS and the one from Peak. I prefer to order from CS because of shipping, but I found that I got a better HT from the Peak. They were very close, though.
  11. I adore the wire wrap and can't fathom how much time and effort that has to take. The Valentine bracelet is something unique as well as beautiful.
  12. This is one of my husband's favorites, too. I gotta get another batch of soap in this asap!!
  13. I like the one from CS and have never noticed a fuel smell. But, I like the one from SGS even better.
  14. I'm just 5 hrs from them, and the shipping is higher for me than it is for me to order from suppliers much further away. I love their oils, but with the shipping and tax it's just a bit much.
  15. Love it. I haven't done one of those in a very long time and really should. What scent did you use?
  16. When I first read the recipe, I was surprised that it didn't call for at least a little of some type of wax and was thinking soy like what Candybee said. If you try adding it, please let us know what your results are.
  17. mybad. That's what happens when I'm sneaking in during work and shouldn't be. I meant wsp--Wholesale Supplies Plus.
  18. I used the Goat Milk Body Glaze from KY for years and love it. Recently, though, I ordered the gmh from WHS since they had a shipping special and now prefer it to KY. I've also noticed my sales are picking up. I have always made my own whipped and emulsified body butters but because of a time factor ordered the tropical butter cream from Aquatech. I liked it "ok" but wasn't wowed. I whipped in some argan oil and decided it was a keeper. However, when I reordered this week I found that they now charge shipping. I went ahead and ordered a gallon but will looking to do something else after I use this.
  19. Anne Marie, you've still got it! Over the years, I don't think I've ever seen anyone make such detailed yet perfect soaps. Also, you do the most feminine products ever!
  20. I'm not sure if it's that or just a reflection from the red rose. I just find the whole thing to be stupid. How many people here brag on that they use a wax or whatever with a patent? Who gives a damn? Maybe when gel candles first hit the shelves it may have been an interesting note.
  21. Wow, that takes me back to the 60s.
