  1. soapandthings.com has tons of great stuff. They carry alot of the same premade bases that other places carry(like Wsp, off the top of myhead) & a nice variety of bottles, packaging, etc. I've used them & liked them very much.
  2. What do you think of a combination of Lavender Fo & Cucumber Fo to blend for bath and body products? Thanks!
  3. I use cyclo(but not from taylored concepts) & have never smelled anything bad
  4. Old Mills Pink Cupcake is incredible!! Smells like sweet, sweet, cake & pink strawberry/cherry frosting. I made tons of it in B&B for Valentines Day last year. Another great supplier called: The Candle Source has the same oil & they smell the same. They are a bit cheaper & offer varied sizes. I just found them and have loved everything so far. Although I'm not kicking Old Mill. Their oils are top notch!!! Either way: go for the Frosted Pink Cupcake!! You won't regret it.
  5. this is the post I was looking for, for you: "And if you're doing just one bottle, 1/3 oz is about 9 grams. So if you're doing 50%/25%/25% like candle man posted, that would be about 4 grams cyclo, 2 grams fco, 2 grams fo. You can use a dropper and drop it into a bottle tared on a scale." Oh, and in regard to: "re the % being for larger amounts...not true."............... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to confuse when I said the %'s were only for larger amounts. I guess I should've re-read my post. I meant to say that these amounts(ounces) that I was listing, were the measurements for the %'s related to making the larger sizes(2 oz, 4 oz, etc...). (meaning that you can only use .28 oz FO as a "part" if making a larger size....etc....)Sorry!!! I don't even know if I just re-explained myself correctly!!!! )
  6. yes, you can use any suppliers skin-safe fragrance oils. FCO is a great oil to use with a very long shelf life. You wanted to add a 3rd ingredient: cyclomethicone is VERY poplular. It is an oil that once rolled or sprayed on, becomes dry(dry oil sprays, dry oil roll ons, etc). If you choose to use FO, FCO & Cyclo, there have been alot of threads on this one....I should know, I've asked alot about this. Here is what I've gathered(& used myself, after much experimenting): 7:1 ratio or 6:1 ratio, broken down into "parts"(ok, here is where it used to confuse the heck out of me...the "parts". Another confusing thing is that these %'s are for larger than 1/3 oz size. I have yet to figure that out. The only thing that has worked for me, is to make at least a 2 ouncer & then pour that into rolller bottles. My problem is that most of the time, I just need to make ONE 1/3 bottle in a particular scent. So if I make 2 ounces, just to get the measurements right, I have a ton of leftover/waste after pouring it into the ONE 1/3 roller bottle I needed. ) Ok, back to the %'s: 7:1 ratio or 6:1 ratio, broken down into "parts" (let me cut & paste from a source): some people use less or more, but here is the standard recipe: 1 part fragrance oil to 6 parts cyclomethicone it depends on the size...whatever it is, break it down to 7 parts. example : for a 2 ounce total weight - 2.0 divide by 7 = approx .28 per part. so you would use .28 fo and the rest is cyclo. 2 oz dry oil spray - .28 oz fo 4 oz dry oil spray - .57 oz fo 6 oz dry oil spray- .85 oz fo 8 oz dry oil spray - 1.14 oz fo IF you are adding FCO, just substitute one of the cyclo "parts" with FCO. I truly don't know what the proportions would be to use only FCO & FO. But since you said you were looking into adding a 3rd ingredient, I think Cyclo would be great. (sold at aromahaven, bittercreek, wsp, the sage, etc.. HTH But there are a few threads on this subject here....search around under FCO, roller bottles, etc....
  7. Daystar's premium: Vanilla Bean Noel is wonderful!
  8. It's only 5% off your oder, but it will automatically be taken off in your cart at checkout....no codes needed.
  9. Try these two search sites. But I remember seeing Tomato Leaf recently. http://www.scentforum.com/fragrance-oil-suppliers.php http://www.geocities.com/lwoollen_25/FragranceFinder/index.html
  10. Does anyone use either of these two bases: WSP's Silky Body Butter and WSP's Luxury Mist? I've been using them for a while & scenting them as per the guidelines on the jugs: .5% (or 1/2 tsp per 16 oz of base) I'm not happy with the scenting & feel I need more FO to cover the butter base's natural smell and the Luxury Mist needs to be much stronger. Does anyone use these & scent at a higher percentage? Thanks alot!
  11. Indiana Candle Supply www.candlesupplys.us
  12. I use Strawberry Jam from Wholesale Supplies Plus & Bitter Creek Norths
  13. I've found them to be hit or miss, to tell you the truth. Do a "search" above on the company name & see what others think. I've recently been using Indiana Candleswww.candlesupplys.us Room/Linen Spray base. I like it alot & it is skin safe too & reasonably priced.
  14. Is it too spicey smelling in Bath & Body? Thanks
  15. Daystars oils are awesome! If you do a "search" above on "daystar" , I bet you'll find MANY rave reviews of their oils.
  16. Daystar's here too! It even smells amazing OOB. and is da bomb in bath & body products as well! You'll stop looking for the perfect Buttercream Frosting after you get this one.
  17. Has anyone ordered FO's from Just By Nature? If you have, can you suggest any must haves? Thank you!
  18. I agree, Taylored Concepts. Smells like nu-car to me!
  19. That is the one! HerbalSoapsByRJ..........thanks!
  20. I think I once remembered a post regarding ordering supplies. It was about people who would have wanted to order things from Bayousome, but didn't want to have to order 100 quantity at a time. And someone posted another site that somehow has to do with them, where you can order any quantity you wish to. I'm almost sure it was similar products to bayousome, but now I'm wondering if I'm wrong. I know it isn't elementsbodyand bath. Anyone know of a place? Thanks.
  21. A "clean" or "laundrey" scent for sure for a room/linen spray
  22. I had posted this question a while back. I love WSP's butter base when I use a FO that will cover up the smell that the unscented base has. It's not an offensive smell, but a smell, never the less. WSP suggests using: 1%-2% using the following percentages: 1% in 16 oz = .16 oz = 5 ml by dropper = 1 teaspoon 2% in 16 oz = .32 oz = 10 ml by dropper = 2 teaspoons I love this butter, but do agree, that not all FO's do the trick on this one. For myself only, I do go higher in the percentage of FO I put in.
  23. Yes, I agree, Clean Cotton & Downy April Fresh smell Nothing alike at all, to me. Although I DO like Clean Cotton as well. I was just looking for the Downy in particular. As for NG, I'm afraid if I go on their site I'll be tempted to try everything! (and eventually I will). For now, I think I'll just try some from CandleSource since I'm trying some samples anyway & since they are so reasonably priced. If it isn't a good dupe, I won't be out too much. It is just that after all the great Candlesource reviews & their VERY reasonable prices, I can't stop myself from doing a little order! I've got the urge to load up a shopping cart, but not get into too much trouble! Maybe I'll be happily surprised with the Downy.I'll let ya'll know! Thanks for all the opinions though. ALWAYS appreciated!
  24. Has anyone tried CandleSource's Downy April Fresh & if so, does it smell like the real thing? I usually use ICS's & it is an exact dupe, but I don't need anything else from them right now. I just tried JS & it is nothing like the real thing,at all. Smells nice, like clean laundrey, but not like DownyAprilFresh. I wanted to try CandleSource after all the great reviews I've been reading & was wondering if I should just try a sample of the Downy, or if someone has tried it & thinks it is a good dupe, I'd get a full size. Thanks.
