  1. Websites are coming back on line as each server is brought online. Some will be up and others will be down still but should be all done soon. Timeframe to work all the kinks out is through tomorrow, the 7th.
  2. So far, Squirrel Cart would get my top vote. Feature Cart I used for a number of years and I like it a LOT more than Mals or OsCommerce. I've just grown and needed some more features that Feature Cart doesn't currently provide although the programmer is always adding to it. Squirrel Cart is not FREE but the support and feature are well worth the price in my opinion.
  3. I've used Feature Cart, Mals, OsCommerce and recently bought the software for Squirrel Cart. I'm really enjoying learning new software all over again and plan to launch my gourmet site with the new software by March 1.
  4. Great! Glad you got it figured out Good luck on the shipping !
  5. I believe where it is saying Premium Accounts only in Mals, means you have to have a premium Mals account in order to use the PayPal Website Payments Pro.
  6. If you are using Mals, I believe all of the setup for PayPal is right there in Mals. If the customer is going to use a credit card, they will need to select the PayPal option and pay that way (no need to sign up for an account). Otherwise, if you want them to input the credit card through Mals, you would need to sign up for PayPal Payments Pro or Web Payments Pro.
  7. Uline has some white with Red Bow or A green with trees I think it is? http://www.uline.com/Browse_Listing_5607.asp
  8. When I did Avon back in the day I gave out Halloween lip balms to the parents and handed directly to them. I didn't give any to the kids. I said something along the lines of the parents deserved a treat too. The parents that got them liked it.
  9. If you use the default template that is in the Mode 4, you would be fine. But if you are looking for the look of a DIY, you would most likely need to have a custom template designed for you. There are a number of WAHM Shoppes designers that could help out (myself included but schedule wise I couldn't do the work right now) : http://www.wahmshoppes.com/store/LDpage.asp?CategoryID=19&Category_Name=Feature%20Cart%20Designers The first 3 that are listed, WAHM Pro, Reall and Inkprince have the most experience with WAHM Shoppes and are great to work with. If you wanted to use one of the other modes, it would use the frames. Of the 3, I would pick Mode 3 to use the most.
  10. Mode 4 would be the most similar and the first 3 are frames and DIY does not have sites with frames.
  11. I use Merchant Express and integrate it with Authorize.net www.merchantexpress.com
  12. As a web designer, I have it in the contract asking for credit for 1 year but have also not put it on there when the owner requests that it not be on there. It used to be that I would make it plainly obvious but I have since tried to make it smaller and not as obvious, blending into the background. I can see both sides of it and respect why someone wouldn't want it on there. But for some web designers, its how they get their work noticed and how they build their business.
  13. I usually get mine from www.orientaltrading.com
  14. I used to look at mine online as well but found it was overall cheaper just to get them at Office Depot or Max. The other option is to order from their sites. Its Free shipping over $50.00 depending on how much you buy.
  15. I just had 2500 5.5"x8.5" 8-page catalogs printed for about $600.00 at www.printpelican.com All FULL color on glossy paper. Turned out great.
  16. As a web designer, I strongly discourage clients from music on their site. Only sites I would say should have it are those that are artists/musicians, etc. that its a part of their site because it is what they do.
  17. I use www.MerchantExpress.com and have been using them for close to three years. Rates are all dependent upon what you qualify for and what you expect to be doing monthly. I've seen varying rates from person to person. I'm extemely happy with them and recommend them highly.
  18. If you just signed up, they will send you an e-mail with your setup information. Its not instantaneous. They have to setup your domain and everything so it may take a day or two. I highly recommend the community for questions in the process. They'll take good care of ya for any questions you have: http://www.wahmservices.com/community/
  19. I've heard of #1 and #3 but don't have any experience with them. Option 2 - I would do a search here on the forum to read various comments about (the goods and the bads). I would also recommend: http://simply-primitive.com/site_builder.html http://www.wahmshoppes.com
  20. Froogle feeds! Highly recommend them! Depending on how man products you have it can be time consuming to put together at first but has worked very well for me in increasing sales and search engine ranking. http://www.google.com/froogle/tour/index.html?promo=homepage
  21. I would pick ProPay for the limited amount of time you want to use it. BUT if you think you might be interested in a longer timeframe, here are some recommendations: 1. Thompson Merchant Services (sorry don't have link but do a search as its been a recent topic) 2. Merchant Express - www.merchantexpress.com (This is the company I use) 3. PayPal Pro - The pro version of PayPal ($20.00/month I believe) and you can manually enter credit card transactions. 4. Check with your bank. I was personally unable to get a better deal direct from my bank but I have heard of many doing so.
  22. I highly recommend Froogle! For my gourmet site its one of the best things I ever did for getting product attention.
