  1. I am looking for colored glass containers for making soy candles. If anyone knows of a place that has them please let me know.... I really love the colored containers and would like to incorporate them into my line of candles. I am also looking for a contemporary/modern style in the container. Thanks for your help.
  2. Here is my list of FO's from NG for the upcoming Holidays: Apple Jack Peel Cranberry Balsam Country Bumpkin Frangelico Streusel Snow Angels Wildberry Scone Pumpkin Crunch Cake Warm Vanilla Sugar Black Cherry Bomb Witches Brew I am testing with C3 Soy, GW 464 and Astrolite Q, all containers. Any suggestions or thoughts on the above?
  3. I was wondering if anyone can send me in the right direction. First: I am looking for suggestions on a name for my candle making business, one word preferrably, looking for a contemporary/modern name. Secondly: Where and how do I go about registering my business name. Third: Where would be a great place to get a label created with my business name on it. Also, any suggestions on packaging, where. (I live in MN) Fourth: Anyone have any suggestions on what is the best way to create a website to sell my candles? I have the "Total Website Creator 3 in 1" home with me or should I look at having someone create it for me. Also, I do not want my site to look "countryish", more moder/contemporary. Any help with the above I would be greatly appreciated...

  5. I am confused... Is Astrolite Q and palm wax the same thing? I love the look of the crystal/glitter throughout the candles but I need to know which is what? If they are the same, great.... If not, can anyone tell me which one they feel is the better of the two... Would like to start making candles using one or the other and need some guidance.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
  6. I am looking for a very unique type of dye to mix with my soy candles in containers. Anyone with information to where I may find these unique dyes, I would be greatly appreciated. Shannon
  7. I am testing the C-3 and waiting on the GW464 to test also.
  8. The LX-30 is for a 4.5" to 5" diameter, and your 10 oz bulb jar is smaller than those diameters. It actually worked well? Did it melt down faster than normal? I am debating on getting the LX-30 or the LX-21 for my 10 oz bulb jar. I am also using GW464 and Cargill Naturewax C-3.
  9. Anyone know the diameter and Height of the 10 oz bulb jar? Can't seem to find that info anywhere. Thanks..
  10. Do you have a barn or any type of structure on your hobby farm? Get inspiration from the structures you may have on your hobby farm... Maybe just do, Hobby Farm Candle Co. or Soy Barn Candle Co. or Hobby Candle Farm Co., or Annie's Hobby Farm Candles. Just a thought... Good luck.
  11. I really like the look of these jars, so I purchased some, 3.5 oz, 6 oz, 10 oz and 16 oz. The diameter goes from 2 1/2" all the way to 4". Any suggestions on wicking? Types of wicks, double wicking? What do you think? I am also using Cargill NatureWax C-3.
  12. This is what I have been doing: Melt 2 lbs wax to 170', then I pour 3 oz. of fragrence in, then my dye. Cool to about 140' and let sit till it is hard. I am getting sink holes in my candles at the top. I am using ECO-14 6" wicks for all jars and pouring into 6 oz, 11 oz and 20 oz Tureen Jars. I've cooled the wax for pouring at all different temps and it keeps sinking no matter what I do. Temp pouring anywhere from 100' to 160'. I got all my supplies from Lone Star Candle Supply.
  13. Is anyone or has anyone used this particualr container wax? I have just started making my candles and have a few concerns on some things that are or are not happening. Can you help me out?
