    Hello Everyone, My rings in the Hurricane Candles are gone. Thankgoodness!!! I heated the wax to 193, warmed the water in the waterbath, heated the mold with a heat gun. And no more rings. Ordered some powdered mold release--should be here Mon. Can't wait to try the m.r.on my next H.C. Thanks to everyone who helped. I have more questions but will post them at a later date. Doing a show this weekend and am busy with that. good luck to all Wanda

    Thanks all, still having problems with the wax. Am heating it to 193, hot gun to mold and water bath is almost warm. am trying one more time today. Am not giving up on this!

    I have been pouring between 180 and 185. The water bath is prepared in advance at normal temp. but will heat it just a bit and increase the temp. of the wax. Thanks for the help.

    I've made several Hurricane Candles and they all have rings in the wax about 1/4 of inch apart on the outside of the candle all the way down. I tried to use mineral spirits to rub them out but they are too deep. My mold is new, and seems smooth, Wax is IGI 1260, double checked my temperature, water bath, followed the instructions on this web site but still I am having this problem. Any suggestions?
