  1. Interesting. So does that mean Golden Brands has been stiffing Michael Richards? I mean, he must be getting royalties from Cargill. Shouldn't he be getting them from Golden Brands, too? What kind of way is that for Golden Brands to treat the inventor of soy wax. What happens if we develop our product line around Golden Brands wax and they lose the patent infringement case? Do we have to start all over with a different brand of wax? Or will the price of Golden Brands go way up because they have to start paying royalties? Just wondering.
  2. I wonder if anyone here knows how companies like Golden Brands can make and sell soy wax when Cargill owns the patent for soy wax? Wouldn't Golden Brands be infringing?
  3. Hi - sorry for all the double postings. I don't post often and seem to have trouble with editing.
  4. Thanks to everyone for your replies. Candlewitch - do you recommend a pouring temperature to avoid getting wet spots? Does anyone here find they can use darker colors with C-3? Thanks
  5. First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for your replies. Candlewitch - could you please tell me if you use a particular pouring temp to avoid getting wet spots? Thanks
  6. I use Golden Brands 415. I'd like to start using darker colors and hoped C-3 might be better for this.
  7. I use Golden Brands 415, but I want to try using darker colors and hoped C-3 might be better for this.
  8. Hi Everyone, I have been making soy wax candles for years usng the same wax and am considering sampling and switching to C-3. This is a big change for me and I want to know what to expect as much as possible. Could anyone tell me how this wax is so far as frosting and wet spots go? Is it possible to get a good cold and hot scent throw? Are there any tips you can give me? Thank you much:)
  9. Hello Jason, I hope you don't mind my cutting in on this thread with a question about your soy waxes. I read somewhere on this message board that beeswax does not work well with Golden Brands waxes. Could you please tell me if that is true? I like to add about 2% beeswax to 100 soy wax to get smoother tops and would like to know if this will work with your 402 and 415S soy waxes. Does it cause frosting or some other problem? Thank you, Gail
  10. Hello, Does anyone know if stearic acid will cause frosting in soy wax? Thanks!
  11. Hello Jason, I have been sending you emails on and off for a few months regarding Golden Brands Waxes, but I never hear back from you. I see you are posting at this forum, so I'm wondering how I can best get in touch with you. Thank you, Gail
