  1. Hi, I'm a beginner myself. I have the this flame dancing issues as well.. here is what I can understand, the candles I made myself, the flame 🔥 be dancing or and sometimes the wick lean to one side and the flame gets lower from the wick itself, but the candles I bought from the store flame 🔥 doesn't dance . I'm using IGI-6006 wax, but I'm Not what type of wax inside the candle I bought.
  2. Hi, I'm having the same issue here. I'm using (IGI-6006 parasoy blend, Premier wick 775, 4 drops dye in 12 oz of wax, 9% FO blackraspberry. I burned for 4hours the first time, put out the flame and burn for little over 4 hours just now. The scent is quite fine. But so far the mushroom is up like no other. I like using dye in my can so I test my candles with them, not saying I won't make without dye , but I love my dye candles.. so far the melting pool is ok as paraffin wax or parasoy wax will melt downward before it starts to spread outward. I'm thinking if I should use a bigger wick size, but then again I don't want the wick to start burn out the wax faster than it should and also not throwing out any scent. Please look at the pictures and let me know your options, thanks a lot.
  3. Hi, I'm Trace. I'm a new candle maker. I started some time late last year and I'm loving it, but I'm having issues with soot possible cause from wicking. Wax I used is 4630/ BW-910 Paraffin types. Wick used was LX-20-24 and 3” jar. I also used dey iny candles but even without dey I'm still having issues. FO load 9%. Now my issue is something that I'm Not comfortable with, Sooting/ mushrooming and flickering. I used CD wick and it's the same thing. Now I'm using BW-910 with Lx-21, I'm getting some soot and flickering but not much of flickering, the soot is not acceptable, if you ask me. Scent throw is ok. If I used LX-22 I don't smell the scent much, if use LX -20 I won't getting a full melt pool not even in 3 hours time.. I made test candles with no FO and I'm still experiencing shooting. What can cause this issue? I also used HTP-104 but the flame was to high and I'm not really smell the fragrance when its burning. Same issues for both wax.. Can someone tell me what can cause this problem
