  1. Dupes of Yankee's Summer Fresh and BBW Breathe Citrus Watermint!
  2. Anyone know what this smells like? My sister loves this scent and I would like to make it for her or find it as (of course) it has been discontinued. I have never smelled this one. She doesn't really like florals so it's not what I guessed it to be. Thanks for any help!
  3. Ooh, let me know when you get it and if it is a good dupe! I love this fragrance! Thanks.
  4. Nature's Garden has one called Pikaki, it's a Hawaiian Jasmine. It's heavenly! Pikake (correct spelling) is the flower that is traditionally used to make the Hawaiian Lei.
  5. Does anyone know if they have a dupe of this yet? BBW Breathe series, it is called Happiness. Blissful Citrus Watermint. I just love the lotion and keep thinking that a candle this scent would be heavenly! Thanks!
  6. Thanks everyone! Hi to Ft. Riley and Olathe especially, it's good to hear from someone around the area. I wonder how much a pallet runs and where in the world I would put one! Merry Christmas to everyone!
  7. I have been getting my jars from FancyCandleJars but he is out at the moment. Where does everyone get their jars from? I have searched the internet but there just doesn't seem like there are a lot of places to go. And to top it off, I live in Kansas! It seems like one company will have something I use, but they don't have any of the others and so on. Help! Thanks, xy:confused:
  8. I also use Peaks and it does smell like the real thing, a little more perfumy maybe. Unfortunately, my 13 year old son loves the smell. This is a very strong FO. At shows it is the only one I keep closed. It would take over and everyone would think I was smoking. I do mine in the rasta colors. Very cool!
  9. Thanks everyone! I am trying to keep it below 50 cents bag. I did find some cute little plastic christmas bags at the dollare store for 12/$1. I'm hoping they will work just fine. My kind of prices as well. Thanks again!
  10. I would like to have some nice gift bags for the holidays, they don't need to be fancy, white would do. But I would like them to have handles. Anyway, I haven't been able to find a cost effective one yet. They are all around 50c a piece and I think that is very high. Anyone out there have a company I haven't heard of to try? I am trying to keep costs down. Thanks in advance!
  11. I love the Love Spell as does my daughter. I do have a scent that makes me sick to my stomach though, Vanilla Bliss from Snowtop. I call it a "Knock Your Socks Off, Gotta Love Vanilla" scent. Stinks up my house for two days after I make it. Next time, I am making the Smoke and Odor Eliminator afterwards. If that gets rid of the vanilla smell, I know it will work on any odor!
  12. No, I carry Mid Summers Night and it is a Drakkar fragrance. It is wonderful but the girl said that this is a much softer, floral type of fragrance.
  13. :undecided Has anyone ever heard of this. I have a gal that says she has a candle called Midnight Summers Dream and I haven't heard of it. Anyone out there know where to find it? Thanks in advance!
  14. I had someone approach me at a show this last weekend and ask if I would be interested in selling to them wholesale. I would like to get some info from you guys on how to go about doing this and how much you charge? I have several jar sizes and 70 scents to choose from and really have no idea of what to tell her. I do know that I will want to keep my warning label on the candle that has my information on it but I don't know yet if she wants a private label or not. I told her that I would check and get back to her on it. I know some of you do this, can I get some advice please? Thanks a million!
  15. I get my gift boxes from Oriental Trading Company. They are not mailers but they are cheap and you could put them inside of a plain box for mailing. The product would still be in the gift box when they opened it. Just a thought!
  16. Looks fantastic! I am going to start working on mine soon (with help from someone who knows what they are doing). Hope mine looks half that good!
  17. I can be quite the perfectionist, but I haven't had even one person comment on the frosting or wet spots yet. Only I am being anal about them so I have decided to not worry about it. I like the no two are alike as well, but wouldn't bring attention to the other either. I don't think they care.
  18. It is included in my prices. Makes it easier for them and you. No nickel and diming to death, just straight forward prices.
  19. I was asked today at a show (didn't do well either) if I would be interested in selling wholesale. How much do you sell them at for wholesale? I told her that I would get back to her on the prices. It was a spirit, mind & body show, figured I would do well, only me and Mia Bella. I think she did better than me and I hand pour mine, theirs are manufactured, I don't understand people anymore. What ever happened to wanted hand crafted over mass production? Thanks everyone!
  20. I use an LX 30 in a 10 oz Apothecary jar w/ this FO and haven't had any problems with melt pool or burning in any way.
  21. I also use the 464 and at the beginning everything was fine, but now I am getting alot of frosting just like LMauk. Everything you said above sounds like I could have said it. I have tried everything and I use liquid dyes. I haven't tried the Frostop yet but I really prefer not to use additives in my candles. I also could use a few suggestions. I live in Kansas so I have to live with the ever changing weather.
  22. I use the GW464 wax and 10 oz bulb jars and I have had great luck using the LX30 wicks. Haven't had a problem with any FO's yet. Hope this helps!
  23. I also like Peak, but Candlesource, Candlescience and Snowtop are also some of my suppliers.
  24. I too am getting ready for a big show! This is my first one ( Cider Days at the Kansas Expocenter) and I am excited and nervous. I have been reading the threads and have gotten some great information from alot of you, Thanks! I'm not sure how many other candle vendors will be there but I am also doing one a month later and am enclosing a 10% off coupon to that show if they bring in the coupon. Hopefully, I will get some repeat business this way. Any suggestions for a newbie? I will welcome any suggestions and comments! Good luck on your shows!
