  1. Excellent! That's exactly what I was looking for Robin! Thanks so much for all the suggestions!
  2. I thought I remembered someone posting a link a while back that would let you search to see what websites had links to your site... Am I totally nuts? Or does this exist? My host lets me track certain things, but I received an abnormal amount of hits to my site on one specific day and I'm just curious where they came from. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  3. I really like them too! The colors totally make me think of fall. Just goes to prove that everyone has different tastes.
  4. Thanks for the idea! I've been using that green florist foam and it works great. It was a suggestion from someone else on here, and I apologize I can't remember who. It works great, I cover it with saran wrap and push those puppies in.
  5. OMG, I was in Cracker Barrel this morning and just out of habit and curiosity I walked over to check out the candles. I'm standing there looking at these wood wick candles thinking bad thoughts to myself and shaking my head when these 2 women walk up and start going on and on about how much they love their wood wicks and just HAVE to have more! At 21.99 and 15.99 a pop, they are just raving about how awesome they were. I absolutely had to walk away...I went to DH and told him how bad I wanted to smack those women, and then hand them a business card...lol Great way to new customers right? They obviously don't care about quality product so why would they care about quality service :rolleyes2 Anyway, I apologizing for hijacking your thread! I think they're just a fad and will disappear completely one of these days.
  6. It's a Galileian thermometer, I have one just like it sitting right here on my desk! Your setup looks great, the only I would suggest is a table covering and maybe a little more height on the table to help more things stand out. You have a nice variety of items so show them off I love all of the holiday stuff, it's too cute!
  7. Wow, those look great Tara! I can't wait to get mine and start playing, I may kick myself for not getting in on the m&p co-op this time.
  8. I'll be busy pouring for my first fundraiser..woohoo, and I have my first show coming up in Nov. and a home party near the end of the month. Here's what I'll definately be pouring, maybe more who knows.. Christmas Buttered Rum Honey Graham Cracker Satin Sheets Vanilla Lavender Pomegranate Cranberry Orange Spice Mulberry Spice Brandied Fruit Country Christmas Tree Fall Harvest I'll be pouring 9oz Balmorals and 8oz Square Masons in all of the above. I also have to work on labels and hangtags. And, if time permits, I really want to play with a new lip balm recipe I've been dying to try. Good luck and good weather to all those with shows this weekend! Happy Pouring!
  9. Hi there! I just visited almost every page on your site. HTH! It looks great, BTW! -Jessica
  10. I use the Ball Elite jars and a 70/30 blend and haven't had any issues yet either. These melt pretty evenly and not sraight up the middle, I've also tested several different warmers too. HTH!
  11. WooHoo!!! You Go Girl!!! You are gonna be one busy chica! I wish you much success! I have a fundraiser kicking off on Sunday, a home party in Oct. and a small show in Nov. and I'm already getting nervous! Good Luck and Congrats!!
  12. Not hatin', just teasin' Yep, it was a good auction to catch, but they'll be more
  13. Hey....that was ME you OUTBID for those molds...LOL Grrrrrr....I thought your name sounded familiar!! I showed up 4 mins after it ended....ah well, it was a great deal! Enjoy your new @#$$% molds, heehee
  14. Grapefruit Watermelon - GL Indonesian Teak - GL Chocolate Latte - GL Apple Jack & Peel - Peak Cinnamon Buns - JS Just some off the top of my head, HTH!
  15. I thought I remembered adding some wicks to your box I'm just good like that! Now go pour up some candles girlie!
  16. Tweek - I'm not finding anything on the shipping preferences page. I read tons and tons of threads on the paypal developers site and many people had asked about the same thing and everyone working for paypal said it wasn't possible. I'm not by any means saying you're wrong, I'm just still not seeing any option at all that will allow me to change that.
  17. Well, after about 4 hours of reading many many html codes and the paypal developers forum, I still haven't figured it out completely. It can be done several ways, but none of which I really like and it take some knowledge of Java which I don't have. I think I'm going to go another route and just add a 3rd party cart to my site that will allow me to do that pretty easily. I haven't decided between zencart and oscommerce yet. Jen, I did find several html codes that might help you out. PM me and I'll send them to ya if you'd like and I can probably talk you through most of it.
  18. I want to add a "no shipping" option at checkout for my local customers. I've read and re-read Paypal's help center(not so much help) and I still can't figure out what it's talking about. I manually set up the rest of the html code for multiple options(scents, sizes, etc) and the Add to Cart buttons, so I'm somewhat familiar with the html code. Here's what paypals site says about editing shipping address options: "In the HTML code, find the variable <input type="hidden"name="no_shipping"value="2">. Sounds simple enough, but I can't find this line in any of my code....what am I missing?? There isn't anything about shipping in my code. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm about to pull my hair out with this !@#$% paypal cart TIA!
  19. Hey, no problem, just glad I could help! Good Luck!
  20. Hey Deanna! Those came from me! I also used the 70/30 with those and mainly wicked with an eco-4, sometimes an eco-6, but only for a very few FO's. The 6's will get a lil more warm than the 4's, but not what I consider too hot. HTH! -Jessica
  21. Will the favors have any kind of label or tag at all? Perhaps some cutsie poem or such? If so, I don't see anything wrong with putting your name on it someplace, or maybe on the back if it's a hang tag. I want my name on my products someplace, even if it's small and out of the way. A few months ago, I made 6 cases of containers to give out at our family reunion and labeled them with our family name and the date. I didn't want my business name out in front, so I put it on my warning label on the bottom of the jar. Problem solved, it wasn't tacky, but I received the credit for my candles. What kind of favors are you making? That may help with giving suggestions. Good Luck!
  22. OMG, that rocks!! You did an amazing job! Love the swirlies! -Jessica(I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy"
  23. Scented - I think your idea is great! It really covers all the bases. I'm totally in, if/when this thing is a go! -Jessica
  24. That's been the case for me mostly. I've wicked down and let the flame help the hangup catch up once it gets to a certain point. I've tried just about every wick I can get my hands on with this wax and even with wicking down, the eco's are my friend
  25. I'm lovin this "Battle of the Designers"!! We should do this more often, it's a great idea and a great way to get many different interpretations. I too need a new logo, and I'd love to do something like this. There's so many talented people on this board, it's hard to decide who to contact, but this method does away with that problem. BTW, I like Prairie's submission best so far... -Jessica
