It has given it a bad name. But from what I understand, talc is harmful to the lungs by inhaling. If it is used not around the home, but in well-ventilated workspaces, I don't see the problem. I'm simply a hobbist, and I had never heard of kaolin until just now. I just use what I have around the home. I have pharmacetical grade talc so I use it. I have bentonite too, another type of clay, but please don't use this in anything that will go down the drain!!
