I remember back in the day when I could buy a bucket of med grade gel at Micheals with my 40% off coupon and still get change back from a twenty. ( when I say back in the day I mean, just a couple of years ago). That will not be happening anymore, lol.(those were the days) I just saw that same gel product on Joann's website for $51.99. :shocked2: And I know that the stores have gone up also.

I was going to be a first time customer of a company, so I got online and found what I wanted. I made my list, got my bank money order, sent off for my purchase, (did this during Ike). I was so excited to try these fragrances. About a week later I got my money order back. Also, a little note saying all orders are to go thru the website, and they don't accept money orders or personal checks. I was like W-T-F? First of all not everybody has a personal computer, no every one has a credit card or feels comfortable using their card on-line. (I make all my purchases using money orders). But what really got me was, the money order was a bank money order, and as I would be a first time customer I didn't know their payment accepteness.( Plus having all the craziness of the storm). :mad:This company lost a customer,all they had to do was make my order, send it and with a little note saying something like, you maybe a first time customer so we filled your order, but we don't take money orders or personal checks. That to me would have been good customer service, but sending my money back then you don't want me for a customer at all. I don't believe they even considered where this purchase was going to, Texas. (where some of us just got or still don't have power).

I used their cherry,leather,kahlua and bourbon which are very strong and true to me.

I love making gel candles. The creativity and the uniqueness. When, I tell someone that I make gel candles, the first thing out of their mouths is. "do they have a strong scent, can it smell up the whole house"? I tell them,the ones I make are strong, but it also depends on the fragrance it's self. I don't know any one candle that can scent up an entire house. GO GEL CANDLE MAKERS!!!!!

I was there 12 hours, by myself,(my help got snowed in)(so I gotta vent) and not one fellow vendor ask if they could help or give me a break all day. While I was setting up two women were looking at what I had and, I heard one tell the other, that" she is not going to make any money, becasue her candles are handmade". I hated hearing that, but she didn't lie. I was surrounded by a S**T load of B/S, and they were taking all the money. I was sorely dissapointed. Here I am thinking oh boy, people are going to be in the gift giving mood, if they were they were not looking for handmade candles. I mean the traffic flowed, but the money didn't flow to me . I was so mad, I came home took two asprin,two sleeping pills,and two midol. *On the upside, the mother and daughter duo that bought at my last craft show, came and bought from me and I only had to go about 10 miles. Booth $65.00 Day Dec 2 Place Tx. What I made my booth fee. I was there for 12 hours and out of those 12, I had no sale for 7 of them. Oh, I forgot to mention the first purchase made was under $30.00 and the lady hands me a $100.00. My head, back and legs still hurt this morning. UN****INGBELEIVEABLE!!!!!!!!

I am sorry that we were not able to place you in the show. When it comes to like products we have to take first in. Our response this year was more than we could have ever expected. As you know we are limited to the number of booth spaces Next year we will be in bigger facility. I know that does not help you right now but, I hope you will consider us next year. I was just rejected from a craft show that, would have been my 3rd time there:mad:. I was counting on doing this show, so I made no other plans for any other craft shows. I want to know should I write and see if I can get a response, or leave it alone? She waited so long to give me my check back, I started to make candles. The show is for Oct. 13 and 14. By the way the first year there were two candle people, the second year I was the only candle person, now all of the sudden they have other candle people? There are less than 30 vendors and I sent my payment in advance and let her know that I was there last year. So what should I do? Leave it alone or try to get an answer? T****I****A****

The only thing I am dying to do is make more gel candles.I love every bit of it, from the creations to the bubbles. And what I reall like is that I am usually the only gel candle person at a craft show. SWEET!!! Gelers Unite!!!

I got one of her scents called "Sugar & Spice", not quite what I thought it would be , but it is a nice scent. Her prices are good, the only thing is when ordering on ebay from her, you don't get good or sometimes any descriptions of the scents.

I tried this scent in wax and got a very sweet, yet yummy scent. I got a faint whiff of apple. I am going to make another candle to get a clearer smell.

Is there a difference between Raspberry and Sun Ripen Raspberry scent? Also can someone tell me what Apple Butter scent smells like? T***4***R

I just got Black Raspberry Vanilla and to me OOB it smells like perfume Apple Torta-Tutti Dolci Type, OOB smells like licorice Raisin Bread w/ Buttercream Frosting, OOB smells like Has anyone tried these scents from JS? Also can anyone tell me what Sugar and Spice is suppose to smell like, I got some from another company and to me OOB it smell sort of fruity. T***4***R

I did my first mall craft show on Sat the 06th, and it was bittersweet. I liked that everyone paid cash,but alot of people walked all around my booth and wouldn't even make eye contact with me.Weirdos! I didn't do as well as I wanted but I did better than I did at the church given by the same people. I also recommend that you don't do a mall show by ones self. I was at my booth and a lady came up with a camera and just took my pic, she didn't tell me her name or anything, I thought she was with the people giving the show, come to find out she was a vendor, I felt uncomfortable with her doing this, esp, since she made no attempt to introduce herself, and I don't even know where my pic will show up. How rude was that?! Has this happen to any of you before? * I don't think she made candles* :undecided T*4*R*

I love making gel candles and I also love to use wax embeds, but I don't like it when that particular candle doesn't sale. It's not like I can keep it for a period of time like regular gel candles, because before I know it the wax embed has started to bleed in to the gel and lose it's color. Does anybody else have this problem?

Does anyone think that we will make any kind of money, with these gas prices soaring so high? Will people come to see us, and if they do, will they buy anything, or saying those 3 dirty words,(Isn't that cute) and walk off, to give the money to their gas tanks? I want to order some scents but I am very worried, that I will pay good money just for them to sit in the candles I make,or on the shelf. T***I***A***

I know, I wonder why wax embeds are so high and why do you have to buy so many, of one thing. I can usually find a decent deal on Ebay, other than that I play the, waiting for them to go on sale game at local craft stores.

I have never done a school show before, it is only 5 hours, so my question is how much inventory should I take. On the one hand I think 40 candles are enough, than something tells me to make a couple more. This is their 4th year(1st for me), so I am hoping there will be lots of buying.
