  1. I dont know of anyone that does soap embeds only candle embeds but if its something you will need frequently why not get a silicone mold and make your own. Flexmolds and others have a good selection.
  2. I dont use my martha mold for mp only cp. Each cavity does hold about 37oz for me anyway but it depends on how you want to cut your bars. I dont fill my cavities all the way up , then i swirl and cut every 3" or so. This way the prettiest part of the swirl is on the front of my bars. I get about 7 bars from each cavity.
  3. I wrap my mp after its cut with saran wrap. I have not had a problem with it getting yucky or sweaty and you can smell through it. I put my label on the back. Then i just put it in those litlle plastic totes till my next show. I find this helps keep it from getting dints and dings.
  4. They sent out survey type emails to thier customers and this was the one thing i stressed on in mine. I am so happy they listened to the responses they recived. I would think it would last as they went seeking this information. But who knows.
  5. I offer lotion in 2,4, & 8 oz. But i also offer 100% shea in the little 1oz tins unscented or scented with Eo for $3.00.
  6. I have a show tomorrow and i have been working like crazy. I still have labels to make and wrapping and putting together some baskets. I hate doing it all last minute but i work better that way i guess. I have some new fall scents on the way to me but i problly wont have them ready for the show. I am taking a pumpkin vanilla and some bakery scents as well as my usual clean scents. Im intro ducing my coffee scrub and bath powders so hopefully they do well.
  7. mizbizzyb yes they get a email and they just have to click on the link. It doesn't seem to be a problem and you can customize what the email says so they know what its for.
  8. Those are so pretty. I would love to figure out how to do this for my wedding.
  9. Very pretty. I love the swirls. I tried making soap with DSM but it was way darker. Maybe i will try again.
  10. AAAWWW. Im sorry you sales were bad. On the up side you learned some things and got your first show out of the way. I have lots of men who love candles and incense and basically anything that will mask the funk.LOL Hope you have better luck with your shows.
  11. i use little zip bags with a label right now but i was thinking of using the cello wrap (not bags) and stacking them and wrapping like a roll of cady with a tie at the top. This might work as it would be tighter and wouldnt wrinkle like a bag.
  12. Just add a lottle wax at a time but make sure you take really detailed notes next time so you can re-produce the same product.
  13. I resize my recipe and I only had 1 jar seperate. I have linked it to getting hot. It got hot here this summer and even with the air on it was just to warm so it sorta melted and when it set back up the oil was on top. Maybe some how it got a little warm.
  14. I sell my tealights 6/$4 or 12/$8. I sell votives for $1 but this is going up to $1.25. I think it depends on your area but at my shows i find ppl like to mix & match the tealights. So i usually have them in a little zip bag with label (same as me tarts) and they pick what they want. I dont offer mix & match on votives but i do sets of 3 for $3.00.
  15. This is a really good post. I have been thinking about thi slately. I basically have the same info in my newsletter, but i have been getting lots of new sign ups and want to make over my newsletter. I think it has a lot to do with who you have your letter through. I use bravenet as its free and I think adding a special offer every month just for newsletter recipeints got me more readers, ppl actually have been reading to find out what sale i have for them. Also when i do contest. I think most ppl look for a bright and inviting letter to read and make sure you start it with something thats gonna grab the attention. A catchy title helps too. Hopefully other will give some good suggestions.
  16. I absolutely love thier fo's. Great now i have to go look.
  17. I only made this one once so far i did a soft sage color with a very dark purple wispy swirl. doesnt help i know.
  18. wow looks like yummy strawberry iceing.
  19. I just got that same promo. I got 250 premium cards, postcards, magnets, and stamper. And it was only around $2.50 to uplaod my logo. They have great deals all the time and i think the quality is great on what i got.
  20. Very pretty yellow, and thats a really cool container.
  21. For samples of lotions, and stuff i use the foil packets like KB has. I dont have samples of sprays but if you want to maybe try perfumers paper in a foil packet kind of thing. Hope that helps.
  22. Im in a small town and im new to the area but i sell my soy tarts for 50 cents each. I am thinking about upong the price to .75 or go with the clamshells.
  23. I use it and found a few scents that dont mix but over all i think it is good. It has the same ingredient list of most of the other body spray bases. I will say the scent dosent last very long. I sell it as a body/linen spritz.
  24. Most popular 2 are: mint julep and cranberry orange relish
