  1. don't laught, because I can't find to buy real molds here, I use my fantasy and make molds from plastic bowl. the small is 22cm x 6,5 cm (3 wicks) the big is 36cm x 6,5 cm (4 wicks) I put a pocket with 25 cigarettes inside to see the shape sorry about cm , but we use m, cm, mm in Europe and I don't know other metric system
  2. I don't have coffee at the middle of candle, just wax and wicks I hope this help, but many people usually when burn a candle like this, they burn it until they have a hole to put a tealight inside
  3. hm... it just one candle with 3 wicks, nothing else inside
  4. my candles with coffee inside ok ok I have problem, I can't attachment my photo wait to upload it somewhere
  5. the pisture is large like your candle beautiful work Donita, well last week I see in a store some x-large huricane (about 40-50 lb) candles, and I was try to think how empty the wax from inside :undecided. I can design some ideas donita if you want, but I can't make so big candles I don't have big molds or big pots
  6. The candle with copper wire tree it's better with small votives this moment because the metal of tealight (normal small tealight) melt the wax. I want to make small round plate with plaster to put inside the holes for use with tealights ( I don't want to have this melt problem). I try to make some samples, because I want to start sell them in a store. In Greece we have a lot of decorative candles mainly huricanes with objects inside. The 95% of plain candles came all from China and are very cheap. I think noone sell candles with soy wax here, because we don't have soy wax (we have only beewax). The Candlemakers here usually make beewax or paraffin candles for churches and the last years some people start to make decorative candles.
  7. hmmmm my geocities have problem try this one http://www.rockmagic.gr/candles/
  8. my candles, the pictures are from my mobile phone http://www.geocities.com/fefeligr/
  9. hmmm I don't have mold for cat, it was only an example I want to use some stensils to paint candles. We have hobby stores but they don't have so many things. Some other times I can find what I want in english language, but I spent many hours online until I understand the way to describe it in Greece. Like when I search for hot gun last week, here they used hot guns only for remove old colors from wood or join plastics. I spent many hours until I understand where probably sell hot guns and how can i ask it in Greek :undecided
  10. I feel like this... with prices of additives and molds from USA... I can't find metal molds here , nowhere!
  11. aouts! this is not a word, is pain... Sabrina it's expensive! At hobby stores here you can buy paraffin with stearic from 2 to 2.5 euro for 1 kg. I buy plain paraffin from a candlemaker who make candles for church and cost 1.5 euro for 1 kg (today I buy 15 kg), the stearic cost about 2.5 euro for 1 kg. But, people who make candles for job and buy big quantities (1000-2000 kg) they can buy paraffin with only 0.70-0.80 euro for 1 Kg. But the big problem is that here in Greece we have many chip candles from China, and I don't know how many people understand the different to buy china candles or handmade Greek candles. I went to a new candlestore today, they have wonderful handmade candles, i wish I had a camera to show you their candles. P.S. 1 Kg=2.205 Lb
