  1. Thanks everyone !! hehe, it makes me feel sooooo happy that soap masters like you are posting comments on my soaps !!!! thanks again, well i cut it already, but my hubby is not here, so i can't take pics... it's still a little soft, not too much though, the natural smell is lovely, and it has a nice deep tan color, with some white parts, i checked it, it's not lye, i think it's from the milk i added i trace, i don't know...... well as soon as hubby comes home i'll post the cut pics...... THANK YOU AGAIN !!
  2. hello everyone, i made my first milk soap yesterday, milk from oatmeal that i just pass through the blender with some water, then i added honey at trace, and some more oatmilk... it's a sunflower, olive, coconut, lard, and shea soap, 1Lb. i used the oatmilk, and a little water to mix the lye...it turned lumpy, and dark right away, but i kept on mixing, and added more water,milk...then i mixed it with the oils and added the honey, and the rest on the milk, when i added the honey it turned a nice orange color...i pour it in a mold i made, and sprinkle some ground oats on top of it. anyway, here are some of the pics, they're not good quality, because i took them with my hubby's phone.....i'll post the cut pics later....

Hello everyone, Vetyver is a green grass type plant from which they make vetyver essential oil...most of the time it comes from Haiti (where i come from) or Java .....i've seen it, but never smelled it cause it grows on the countryside in Haiti, but my parents always told me that it's used to make perfume cause it's smells so good...

  15. Hello there, i was wondering if anyone have a recipe for a natural tanning oil?I LOVE tanning, so i need an oil that's really gonna get me dark, i know that virgin coconut oil helps a lot, i tried it..but i need to add something to it so it can work even better, like an essential oil, or an herb...what do you think of carrot infused in coconut oil? Thanks a lot, Laura.
  16. I soaped their Mango Mandarin yesterday at 1oz per pound, and this scent is just amazing, lovely everything!!!! it smells really fresh and fruity, but more mandarin than mango, but still..when i was soaping it i couldn't stop thinking that i would definitly buy a soap with this fragrance if i had to. I just LOVE it!! it's this kind of fragrances that makes you feel fresh and energize, and don't wanna leave the shower...lol so might wanna give it a try.. Laura

  18. Hello there, i was checking the ingredient list of a renowned cosmetic company (i don't know if if it's ok to say the name) moisturizers, and saw that almost all of them are made of water, milk, oils, triethanolamine(TEA), strearic acid, cetearyl alcool, and preservative. i read that TEA is an emulsifier,thickener.... i wanna try to make a creme for myself, but without the TEA,so do u think it's gonna be well emulsified without it? and what percentage of oils,water,milk...should i use? They list the liquid ingredients(water, milk) first, so i guess it means they are the one they used in greater amount... Thanks a looooottt , Laura.
