  1. Thanks!! Think I’ll roll with it as well. And give it a go!
  2. I use 75% grapefruit/mangosteen from candle science and 25% pink grapefruit from Lone star. I haven’t found the pink grapefruit from lone star to be strong enough in 464 soy on it’s own. But — if you are using a different wax. I think it is the best -truest grapefruit I’ve smelled.
  3. Have you tried it or heard experience about how effective it may be against cigarette smoke?
  4. Hey Trappeur — I’m was checking out the forum for Wellington and Bulk Apoth. (Which both seem kinda high $$ to me which leads me away)...but...I use 464 and BA Kelp is THE BEST actual ocean/sea smell I’ve found. Most others smell like laundry detergent to me. I have to use 2oz/pound...but at some point it’s worth staying with it instead of ordering duds and wasting wax and time...same with one of their tobacco scents....can’t remember which one and I’m not at home to look it up...but that’s my 2 cents/scents LOL
  5. I’ve been reading about Liebermuth — how can you tell which BA fragrances are Liebermuth? Am I missing something when i’m looking online? 🤷‍♀️
  6. No....not really....it just keeps getting stronger the longer you wait. I’m really a wait 2-4 weeks kinda gal with butternut pumpkin in 464 wax. I have wondered about playing around with other wicks and seeing if I can improve things. I started with ECO wicks in 464 and had excellent success with my first 5 FO so I’ve never strayed from those. After reading so many posts on this forum I’m wondering if I would get better results with some of these FO trying out different wicks...
  7. Candles: wax used: GB 464 fragrance load 2oz/lb (as per suggestion by AAA) average cure time: 1 week Wax additives? No container: Glass, 3” diameter wicking notes: standard Cold throw: excellent Hot Throw: excellent Morphing: none. Scent stays true additional note: I needed this FAST for a customer and didn’t play around with FO load. I think I will drop to 1 oz/per pound and test before I repour. It was SO STRONG! The CT was so strong — I told people to not open the jar unless they liked leather!!
  8. Absolutely will add my impression and hope others do as well
  9. Love this input. I’ve been looking for a true “smoky” scent and been frustrated by cologne scents. I use 464. What wax do you use/melts or candles?
  10. I was pouring fast and furious this fall and poured some leftover cranberry marmalade on top of some leftover cinnamon that hadn’t set up yet. Loved the 2 of them together. Haven’t tried to sell it yet — seems more fall than spring to me. But I am intrigued.
  11. I’ve been searching for this topic for an hour...finally decided I just needed to ask in a new thread. I use GB 464, Libby Status 12 oz jar and ECO wicks (size varies depending on FO). I started burning a candle made last fall —it’s about 1/2 gone and now when I blow it out it smells like burning wax for awhile. I smell a little fragrance bit it is overpowdrred by “burn” — I have never had this happen. Granted. This is not my favortie scent but I had it left over...do y’all know what causes this?
  12. Hmmm. I’ve sold it after a month and told people to wait a couple of weeks — that it’s very fresh. Feel best holding it for 2-3 months. And personally like it after 5!!!
  13. Trappeur, what wax are you using at 6% oil? (If you don’t mind)
  14. With all the people ordering fragrance from AAA. Add them too please!
  15. I think LS butternut pumpkin is one of the best pumpkins. Takes a LONG time to cure in 464 but it’s my personal fav pumpkin. Very distinctive
  16. I also use CS Cranberry Marmalade. It is popular year round.
  17. I bought leather from AAA and love it (a true leather scent. Very potent) but I liked the leather and lace - just don’t want 2 leather scents. Let me know when you make it up and how the HT is!
  18. Thanks for the CS frank &myrhh info. Actually have used that one and added a few drops of fankincense EO to “boost” (probably in my own mind) the incense aroma....I’m sticking with it until I find another — have tried several “no-gos”. We always seem to be looking for perfection! 😝. If you run across another - let me know!
  19. Trappeur, I just scrolled thru the off topic section for the first time and read of your current fight. Please know you have one more person praying for you ✝️
  20. I’m very close to Lone Star and buy all my wax, jars, and lids there..interestingly enough, I don’t use many of their FO. (Butternut Pumpkin is a fav tho)
  21. Thanks Trappeur. Everything I’ve been reading...think you might be my idol 😉
  22. Hey Belinda. I’m in the DFW area. (Denton to be exact) I’m blown away by everything I’m reading from the “pros”....Learning so much!
