  1. I like Wellington Vetiver. I also really disliked NG Vetiver.
  2. 60/40 464 to 4630. In a 3" diameter I've only tested an ECO 14 and it works pretty well - but leaves the burn pool about 2mm from the edge of the jar. Im testing ECO 16 next to see if thats a better fit. I cured mine for a week before burning.
  3. I am watching this thread as well for tips. I just started blending 464 and 4630 to help with scent throw. So far I have noticed a stronger HT, smoother/creamier surface but I have been getting one big sink hole, more like a depression in the center of the candle around the wick. If anyone has any advice on what may be causing the depression and how to resolve it, please let me know!
  4. Hi, I am looking for some fragrance oil suggestions. I am blending a soy/coconut/paraffin wax. Does anyone have a favorite fragrance for any of these scents: Citrus/orange lavender gardenia peach basil amber jasmine milk and honey Any other favorite scents anyone wants to share would be insightful as well! Thanks in advanced, Kayla
  5. Does anyone have any opinions of Wellington Fragrance Oils? I am new to candlemaking and purchased several fragrances from Wellington and have been mixing them in GW 415 and 464 and have struggled with hot throw mainly. Does anyone have any experience with Wellington fragrances? Trying to figure out if I should be buying fragrances from somewhere else. Thanks!
  6. I am just starting to make candles with the hopes of selling them eventually. I am in the process of determining what kind/s of wax to use. I have solely been working with different types of soy wax up to this point. However, there seems to be some benefits from other types of wax (i.e. parrafin and palm). When I research some of my favorite candle companies (Archipelago, Voluspa, Capri Blue, Paddywax, Nest, etc.) they all appear to use a blend of waxes and not just soy. I would like to be "environmentally friendly" and create a "clean" candle but not necessarily at the expense of scent throw and quality. My questions are... Has anyone found selling candles with palm or parrafin wax harder to sell to consumers? Do customers seem to care what wax you use when you are selling them at craft fairs or wholesale to stores? I would appreciate any insight people may have!
