  1. Yes, I bought the wax and additives she suggested and I thought I was following direction, but it is not working. What is the over dip method? I will try the heat gun, if that works I won't have to melt it back down. Thanks Amy
  2. I got Donita's tutorial for embedding pics and I don't know what I am doing wrong. I keep getting a build up of wax in some spots on the pics and they are cracking in other spots. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks Amy The first one has the wax build up to the left of her head and down her shoulder are these from air pockets?
  3. I love those. They would match my room perfect. Great job Amy
  4. I love them. I come from a long line of breast cancer survivors and would love to get the info on buying some from you. I think my family would too. Great job for a wonderful cause and I hope you sell a ton of them.
  5. As always beautiful work. I love it.
  6. I bet they will sell great. I love them.
  7. That looks awesome. I love that shade of pink.
  8. I also use the ones from lonestar and they burn all the way with no wax left at all. They have worked great in every wax I have used.
  9. Oh, now I am worried. I placed my first order with them this weekend and I can not wait 2 weeks to get it. I will be screwed cuz it is for centerpieces for my cousins wedding. LOL I hope I have better luck! Amy
  10. I didn't think the weight was required for candles but was for bath and body? :undecided I love you jars and labels. Do the lids fall off real easy or do they seal?
  11. Those look great especially for only being your first time with them. I love them Amy
  12. Idaho-Jar candles most definatly and dipped bears are starting to fly.
  13. I think you should start with what you want. I started with containers and went from there. The only advice I can give you is keep you scents limited and don't spread yourself out too thin. That is what I did and I had to spend more money on scents and didn't have enough to order other new things to try. Welcome to the board and good luck! Amy
  14. My area is in the laundry room down stairs. It is a huge room and I have my counter and shelves on two walls and stuff stacked all over the rest of the room. My candlemaking is a business. Not huge, but enough to keep me home with my kids. Amy
  15. I just tried him to see if he would work. The fur is so short, I just couldn't get him to look good. I used left over wax and just played with him. He won't sit up cuz of his ears :undecided
  16. I will third that. That is where I get my plates from and they look nice and are cheap!!
  17. I like the look of the chunks all through the candle, so I always fill my jar up with the chunks and then do my over pour. On the larger jars it is a lot, but it looks cool. Amy
  18. Well Thank goodness the orders are almost done! This is what I have been working on this morning. I need to get the globs off the brown one it is candy cane. The lamb and the bunny are pink sugar and the white one is strawberry. the one with the sweater is merry berry. I got the bunny for $.10 at a grage sale, just not enough hair to do make it look good. Amy
  19. I love it! it would match my house perfectly. Great job especially for your first one
  20. I love them. They are beautiful. Very nice work :highfive:
  21. That is very nice. I love the snowman. I bet you will get top dollar out of it. Great presentation. Amy
  22. Well hello back to you and welcome to the board. There is so much information on here and everyone is so helpful. It is definatly an addictive hobby! But a very fun one too.
  23. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope you all enjoy your day. Amy
  24. Everything. Have to get ready for my biggest show next weekend. I am taking 13 scents and tons of air fresheners and dipped bears.
  25. are you sure walmart won't order them for you. They told me the same thing, but I kept going to other people and finally they started ordering them in. My problem was they wouldn't hold them or call me and by the time I got there to get them they had put them out and most of them would be gone. You would think that 50 cases of jelly jars selling in a few hours would make them carry them all the time, but it doesn't.
