Which wax do you use with this? Fillmore Christmas tree fragrance oil

What did you replace the 464 with? I thought the fragrance was the problem but I didn't consider that it could have been the wax.

I have been using 10% of Fillmore's Christmas Tree in GW 464 soy wax. My scent throw is very subtle. I want a stronger scent throw but am afraid to put too much oil. I realize that multiple testing is the sure solution but I was wondering, if anyone is using this fragrance and wax combination? If so, what percentage oil to wax or how many ounces per pound are you having success with?

I wish I knew where to get it. I don't even remember what was delivered in this insulation so I only had the one piece. Have you tried taping or gluing the 2 ends of the felt so they just meet rather than overlapping?

Your brilliant idea of using the Koozies was wonderful. The problem for me is that my 3.5 inch cube glasses are too big for the Koozies. I prefer NOT to have pull away and the best way to guarantee this for me has been to warm the glasses before pouring. (another time consuming step). I thought that the Koozies idea would be perfect to hold the heat in and avoid pull away. I decided to look for Neoprene fabric and make my own to fit my cube glasses. Suddenly, I saw some silver insulation laying in the corner, because I always save packaging material so I can reuse it when packaging and shipping my candles. I decided to try using it and it worked wonderfully. I just cut it, wrapped it around the glass and taped it together. Now I just slide the glasses into them before pouring at 150 degrees and ... NO MORE pull away. Thank you so much for the idea. Below is with and without the pull away. The one on the left has the undesired pull-away ... the one on the right is perfect using the homemade insulated Koozies. Below is a picture of my homemade insulated Koozies. I was able to get a dozen from the sheet that I had.

Well first off, I have Natures Garden Lavender Luxury in all of the jars (8%). I have only been curing for 2 days. I had no idea about the 2 weeks so thank you for that. I let them all burn simultaneously for 4 hours, take pictures, extinguish them and let them sit for at least 5 hours before trimming the wick and relighting them for another 4 hours etc. In addition to wanting the corners to ultimately melt, I want to make sure I chose a wick which will give the least amount of soot over time. Neither on the sides of the jars nor on the ceilings and walls. I just noticed that I misspoke earlier. I have been using ECO 16 not CD 16 so when I receive my CD series sample set, I will include the CD 16. After I get it right for Lavender, I will test with a christmas tree pine scent.

Here is the picture of the Square jars I use. (Libbey 5475) They are a little more than 3 inch cubes.

Where can I get samples of CD-3 wicks that are at least 3.5" long???

I have never done two wicks before. However, I'm going to try it this time because I may get even better results that way. Thanks for that suggestion

Thanks, I will try those. I use the square 3" jars but the diameter from corner to corner is 4".

I have tried CD 14 & 16, also HTP 1212. I have use some FO from Candle Science like very vanilla also Natures Garden, Lavender Luxury & Fresh Linen.

I am new to this forum and am planning to try different wicks for my 4" diameter container candle using GB 464 & 8% FO. I have been getting soot with the CD series. I haven't tried the Premier wick. Can anyone suggest which sizes to try which will give minimum soot etc.? It is possible that this was already discussed but I can't seem to find it.
