  1. Thank you all for your replies on my curing question. I use 67% 6006 to 33% 464. This might be a dumb question but what does the curing do? I've actually burned them next day and had a good hot throw. Will curing them make it even better?
  2. Anyone tried pipingrock.com? I've been buying carrier and essential oils from them at great prices! Right now they have a bogo deal going on if you're in need of those items in particular. I may pay more for EOs when I'm making a pain oil, but for soaps and room sprays, etc. where the use is not super therapeutic I really like to keep my cost down. No website yet and just sell to people at work for now who really don't want to pay much so this works great for me. Thought I'd share.
  3. I've seen a couple of people mention curing their candles and I've never done this...should I be with this 6006-464 blend?
  4. I do that same blend and use LX 14 or LX 12 wicks. 3 wicks per candle holder in glass holders like Bath and Body works style. I do have frosting issues but still like that blend for same reason as you - the 50/50 soy is what I'm going for.
  5. I blend the 6006 with the Golden soy blend 464. I usually get a good HT but drawback is I also get alot of frosting. Looking for other blends that might eliminate that problem.
  6. Wsp has a great assortment of detergent free soap bases. I've been very happy with theirs. and yes the free shipping helps!
  7. I really want to try this!
  8. Wonderful thread here! I've gotten quite a few ideas to get busy trying! Thank you! I've tried herbs but not tea blends yet so I'll be doing that! I make some great smelling teas so can't wait to play around with that. My chai tea for this season will be first to try! Some herbs I've included already are eucalyptus, calendula and chamomile in an eczema soap, coffee grounds in a cellulite soap, and lavender in a more relaxing soap. I've done a couple soaps with butters and oils at 1Tpp. The coffee butter blend from WSP in my coffee soap was amazing!! Can't wait to try these other tips!
