  2. Thank you! I wasn't really sure what the pricing guidelines were. I appreciate the help!
  3. Hey everyone! I was just looking for some input from you, about your pricing. I'm trying to hone in on how much it actually costs me to make each candle (which is incredibly difficult!) and then price from there. Any tips? Getting into the holiday season, and I'd like to price my candles appropriately. Thank you for any and all pointers here!
  4. Thank you very much! I just went in and added the weight. I researched it online and saw that I also needed to add weight in grams. Another post we were commenting on about the labels, and how to make various sizes and shapes---I found the solution! And it's cheaper than zazzle and Vistaprint (in the long run).... I bought a Canon Pixma MG6250 at target for $69.99 yesterday. I also bought Avery 18163 blank labels (pack of 100) for $4.69. Came home and downloaded Avery app on my iPad Air as well as an app called logo creator, and together, I'm printing labels out like crazy! I am recommending this route HIGHLY! It solved so many problems for me with labeling, and I even went in now and was able to very easily add the weight ?
  5. Shows how professional I am! I didn't have that on the label, but I will add it on tonight! So far, I've only sold a few to friends and family. Sadly, I didn't realize it was a law to have it I. There, and I should have researched that. Thank you for telling me!
  6. I had mine done on Etsy, and used a company called 90designs. It was $35 with unlimited revisions. I was very pleased with my final product.
  7. I paid someone to design a logo for me, so I need to find a company that can use my logo and print quality labels for me in multiple sizes. I get confused about this.... I don't want to spend $150 for a huge roll of just one fragrance. When I have many! This is where I run into a big problem with some of these websites. I really need someone to walk me through this. And will that website you both provided use my logo?
  8. CS is who I have been using as my main supplier. Although, I'm only a couple of months in to my candle making. I use the Libbey apothecary jars, and have hunted high and low for a price that beats theirs for the jars and lids. As far as fragrances go, I am hooked on the Grapefruit & Mangosteen, Macintosh Apple (the best apple fragrance, absolutely out of this world!), English Garden (I add extra straight lilac to this one, and it's amazing). I have heard rave reviews about the Peach Nectar and I ordered a large bottle and hated it OOB and in the candle itself. The Mistletoe from CS is perfect and everyone loves it! Will be in my lineup for Christmas---I've already sold several! I am going to be using RE for several fall and holiday fragrances, as I've been reading the reviews on here. But, overall,I love CS--very fast shipping. Great packaging and free FO sample with orders over $25. I had some issues with frosting with my GW 464, and customer service was extremely helpful. Shipping is not cheap, but I think that's just what to expect when dealing with the weight that we do for our candle making.
  9. I take my wax off of the heat between 175-185. I add my fragrance oil and dye chips at this point. I always have great hot and cold throw with my FO from Candlescience. ?
  10. Hi everyone! I just joined today--my name is Kate, and I make soy candles. Only been doing it for a few months, but I love it, and so do my friends and family! I have recently had a logo made for my little company and have been using Vistaprint for labels up until this point. I'm wondering if anyone could tell me who they use for their labels---I need something more professional than Vistaprint, and I need labels in sizes for tins, Libbey jars, and tart melts. I've become very frustrated looking around online. I see so many peoples candles with beautiful labels and I have no idea where to get mine!
