If any one has used a additive, say for stronger scent throw or to make the scent throw last longer, did it help?

For those of you using preblended wax, when it says it has all the additives and a person doesn't need to add any thing like an additive, have you still added additive to it?

You all have been a huge, huge help!!! Asking about the temp fixed my problem. Now my wax is throwing like a champ. This is something I will try when I am at home.

I can totally see spending more on it as I get more confident. Right now I had every thing to start besides wax and fragrance oils so I was pretty lucky there. Now if I was to buy all those beautiful molds (which I totally see myself doing) I can see how expensive it can get. I can see how expensive it could get. I was lucky, I had everything except wax and fragrance oils. Shipping sure is killer for this stuff though.

Okay! Great! Thank you! I'm going to try again tomorrow night then. I've also read where people say not to add FO's when the wax is too hot or it will burn off the scent and not smell good in the melter...would that be anything above 185 then?

I've read different things about what is the best temperature to add the fragrance oil. Can anyone help me with this? Some say 180 and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.

That is the post that led me to this forum! YAY!!! Those are some of the most beautiful chunks! I do have a question, does the heat gun make any of the scent disappear or is it used much to quickly to even worry about that?
