  1. Doing a search was the first thing I did before asking for help as I'm a self reliant type person. Never could find the old board so I couldn't search the old board. Thanks, I appreciate your help mystical_angel. Heaven, what do you use to hold the lamp oil? How do you seal the top? Do you buy your supplies at the wickstore.com ? Your have any photos of your rock candles? Ashley's rock candles are very pretty. Thanks everyone. Lynn
  2. I just heard about these. Has any one made one or seen them at arts and craft fairs. Suppose to use lamp oil and it looks like the flame is embedded in the rock. Sure not much on the internet about them. Lynn
  3. Hm, I read on Bittercreek's message board the debate on the safety of adding Vick's to candles. One woman said she was a witness to the candle catching on fire. Right on the Vicks label it says: Warning: Do not heat. Never expose to flame, microwave or any container in which you are heating water. Lawsuit is not a lovely word. Lynn
  4. Has anyone heard about Old Virginia Candle Company coming out with a wooden wick container candle. It makes a sounds like wood burning in a fire. Wonder if we will ever be able to buy wooden wicks??? Lynn
  5. Carol M, Royal Aromics and Save On Scents both have it. Lynn
  6. Get those skewers at Walmart for $.88 package of 100. In the outside gardening section in bar-b-que supplies...shish kebobs skewers. Lynn
  7. Sherie, I was a native Texan (Dallas) for 54 years and moved to the natural state of Arkansas 2 years now. 15 miles west of Hot Springs, AR., away from all the crime and asphalt jungle of city living. I really hate to hear about your flooding. Tell me just how bad the damage was? Was it the Dallas area???? I love this forum. Don't post that much. Try to use the search engine here and get most of my questions answered. Lynn
  8. Sherie...WOW, thanks for the referral. Yep, it's my lucky day, that's for sure. You not having a good day Sherie???? What, your Monday going down the drain! Hope the rest of your week works out. Again, thank you very much. Bunny, why would wine suppliers use this extract? I'm curious. This is the best board. Always someone there with the information and support. And, I'm on lots of forums so I'm an expert Lynn
  9. Thanks for responding Bunnie and Sherie. I wanted to compare the two and see which was less in price. Just cannot find in any suppliers of the liquorice root extract suppliers. Thank you. Lynn
  10. Anyone here know where I can purchase this sticky, black liquid extract. It is going to used to make products for sportspeople to mask the human scent. Thank you! Lynn

  14. O.K. I understand now where you are coming from and where you hope to be Lynn
  15. Beth...I make my candles from the Ky pure soy. Is that what you use to make your container candles? I, too, was considering a mixture of the pure soy and 115. I wrote Vicky from Ky and asked her about using a mixture of the two soy waxes and she said the 115 will make the candle sweat in the summer. So, now I don't know whether to try it or not, as I am confused??? It just makes sense to me to have a soy blend with a lower melting point to throw a better scent. Lynn
  16. What is some of the reasons a pillar is oily cause the label won't stay on, just slips right off? Thank you. Lynn
  17. Blest2bAmerican, thank you for your referral. After reading the posts on the supplier, I'll give it to her and tell her to go there and and look it over. Do you know of any other supplier in California who sell soy wax by a manufacturer besides Cargill? I'm going to also give her Peak's website, maybe she will decide to order from them. I just want to give her choices. Lynn
  18. Someone I know wants to know where to buy soy candle suppliers in the LA area. Please give me some referrals. They want that area because it will be less expensive for shipping or where she can pick it up. Thank you. Lynn
  19. This is how many hours I got out of burning them down 1/2 inch from the bottom? How many hours is average for you? What is your average burn time for your 9 oz. soy hexagon jar? Thanks, Lynn
  20. O.K. Molly, spill the beans. Since I'm not so lucky to be in the same city they are located, just how much more concentrated are they than other suppliers. For example, Mulberry seems to be awesome from most of the suppliers I have ordered from. Would you say yes or no Pourette's Mulberry is stronger than other suppliers. Lynn
  21. Shannon...Now the pressure is on, yep, hurry up and tell us how the testing did. Thanks everyone for responding. I might just bite the bullet and do some ording from them....... Lynn
