  1. http://www.webstaurantstore.com/search/2-oz-oval-souffle-cup-with-lid.html Here is what I ordered
  2. I have been using circle plastic jello shot containers for a while and I am looking into changing into a more oval shape heavier container. I ordered a case from a restaurant wholesale company online and they are nice but there has to be a place to get them cheaper. Do you all have any recommendations?
  3. I am getting ready to use my first presto pot with a spicket. I have used one in the past that didn't and I just dipped out the wax and put it into my pour pot then added color and FO and poured that way, but I found that it cooled to quickly and then I ended up with a mess and had to go through reheating it. Do you have ideas to keep your pour pot warm? Do you put your FO,wax and color in the presto pot then just put it in a pour pot then into your cups, candles or molds? I am just trying to figure out the best and most efficient way of doing this and was curious how everyone else does it.
  4. I will definitely try that! Thank You. I have been hesitant to post and ask questions because I have been told that the seasoned makers don't really care for helping and those newbies asking questions. Thank You for proving those wrong and helping me. I love this and would love to make some money doing what I like. I can not work outside the home so this is perfect for my family and me.
  5. As of right now I am only using the ParaSoy preblend alone. I did order a couple sample boxes from Peak 6006,4794,4625 to see if that would do a better looking tart but same throw. I am really reserved with blending my own because its overwhelming due to the % ratio and all the factors that can go into my throw not being as good or consistently. I just thought it would be easier to have it preblended since I am fairly new to the wax world.
  6. I started heating it up to 180° because by the time I added FO and color it was setting up and harder to pour by the time I pour its about 15o-155 which is RE's suggestion. (RE's suggestion for heating it is 165°)
  7. Thank You. I am using my phone so I had to go to the full view.
  8. I am not sure how to attach it to this post. There isn't a place for images that I can find. It looks like a honey comb or daisy flower shape on the top. Its not deeply indented but enough to make me crazy. If you know of a way to send it I will. I could by email...
  9. Thank You all for your help. I have been repouring and that is a pain! Can you suggest other tart blends of wax for me and suppliers that you really like.
  10. I have been using KY ParaSoy Tart and Votive wax from RE and I keep having sink holes in my tarts. I have done a second pour and they turn out fine but I am wondering what other blends I can look into to prevent the holes and a second pour. I am totally new to this candle making stuff. Thank You!
  11. I have recently taken over my Moms candle company, she is very ill and can't help or give me much info. I didnt want to see all her hard work go to nothing so I decided to take it over. I am strictly doing tarts. I am using a blend KY Para-Soy from Rustic Escentuals. It says heat to approx 165 and pour at 155 and requires no additives. I am using both double boiler and presto pot method. When using the presto pot it seems to cool way to fast from dipping it out then adding the FO it actually gels at times. The other issue I am having is when cooled either method it has honeycomb or flower type indentions on the top. I can not figure out what I am doing wrong. Any help would be great!! Thanks in advance.
