  1. Hi All, haven’t posted in a real looooong time. I’m looking for a really soft type soy wax, almost like a scoopable soft, any suggestions on brands? TIA 😊😊
  2. I've never seen something like this. What was the company's explanation of this? Because I'm really curious of what exactly it is.
  3. 45 hours for an 11oz candle is awesome. If you are getting great throw and good burn you shouldn't worry about it. Just because other 11oz candles say they burn 60 to 70 hours doesn't mean that they actually do, you shouldn't compare your candle to others because that will drive you crazy. Like Trappeur said "if it ain't broke why fix it"
  4. Oh ok, I don't use dye and I don't think I'm skilled enough to try that, lol ??
  5. Ok Thanks, I think I'll try using the colored wax to paint with ?
  6. Thanks Jcandleattic, but is it safe to use it on melts that go directly into a warmer? I wouldn't think that acrylic paint in a warmer full of melted wax would be very appealing. Here's a picture of what I want to do ?
  7. Hey all I've been seeing others paint their wax tarts like the Easter Egg Tarts, was wondering if anyone knew what type of paint was used and where I could get it, also heard someone say something about markers that could be used on wax. Hoping someone will have some insight on this. TIA ??
  8. Disney is one company that takes infringement very seriuosly, so I never understand why some companies even risk it, especially when the owner was a lawyer, smh. Wonder and Company Is a site to fnd all things Disney, so being featured on there probably got her a lot of buisness, because most people thought that it was a Disney product, so she might have gotten more then a warning from Disney. I wouldn't be surprised if Disney comes out with official candles after see the potentail market for them.
  9. I don't think they are associated with disney, they are disney inspired candles. No Logos or copy rights are present on the candles, they are walking a fine line on infringement. Disney is so large that they would make their own candles not have a small etsy store. Just my 2 cents.
  10. Since your second pour will contain FO's then the wax might behave differently from the first pour with just wax.
  11. I used the small plastic cosmetic containers with a little wax of each scent in them. When set up, I put a sign up next to them, that says take a sniff and find your favorite scents. People are less likely to touch the product, it works well.
  12. Thanks, going to order a few 1oz samples from them
  13. I use 444 and NG Fresh Peach, it throws well but is light. Wonder if you all could suggest the strongest throwing Peach FO that you have used in soy. Want to get to test. TIA
  14. Could you give the link to the youtube video, because I've never heard of it and would like to know what it is.
  15. Hi, was wondering if there were any Indie Business Members on this board? If so, is it worth it, do you have the product liability insurance that they offer? Is it good? I'm thinking of joining, because of the insurance that can be obtained thru membership. Your thoughts and experience would be greatly apperciated. TIA.
  16. That candle looks beautiful , I'm going to try double wicking with the smaller 700's, I've tried the CD's and I just don't like the way they burn. I'm using GW444 with no dye. The container I'm using is being very difficult, but I'm determined to conquer it, lol.
  17. Thanks, was trying to avoid double wicking, but I just ordered some smaples of the smaller 700's to see if I can double wick it
  18. I would wick up. I use 444 and have tested alot of wicks, lol. What is the diameter of the jar and what size CD wick did you use?
  19. Hi, I know several of you helpful Ladies use the Premier 700 series wicks. I've been testing with them and I really love how they burn, but the glass container I'm using is about 5 inches in diameter at it's widest point and the 798 just isn't hot enough to remove all the hang up from the previous test burn's, it's past the mid way and I still have a lot of hang up. So I was wondering if anyone has tried or uses the Superior 800 series wicks. I'm guessing that they are the step up from the 700's and because they have a paper core that they would burn a little hotter. TIA for any tips and insight
  20. Hi, and welcome to the forum. I use GW444 also. I've yet to have an issue with frosting, you may want to try pouring at a higher temp, I pour around 140 into warmed jars, sometimes I get smooth tops sometimes I don't, I just use a heat gun. As far as the color of the wax it is an offwhite yellowish color. I use a different size jar so I cant't say what wicks work best, but you may want to try Premier wicks, I get them from Aztec and I really like them. The key is testing testing and more testing, lol. I've been experimenting and testing for almost a year and it's frustrating at times, but don't give up, because once you fnd what works best for you, it will all be worth it
  21. Never seen soy change colors like that, I've had it turn a darker yellowish from the darker fragrance oils. What type of jar is that, it looks like a blue jar? Is it glass or something else?
