  1. Thanks! I'll have to pick some up Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Or, if a certain fragrance does do it, should I just not use it?
  2. Thankfully, I wasn't planning on using it on a normal basis. I was using it for testing purposes to figure out what wax has the better hot throw. 415 won out over the 464 for me.
  3. For this particular candle, it was 464 and I added the FO at 185. I added 10% honeysuckle from Peak, which was a weak thrower, and that's why I added so much. I tried adding 6% to start but I could not smell it at all.
  4. My FO is sinking to the bottom of my candle. I stir my wax for at least two or three minutes after it is added in. I heard that I can store my candles upside down to prevent this from happening, or u can add vybar. Is there any truth to this? Can I be doing anything else to prevent this?
  5. [url=http://www.craftserver.com/topic/105664-8-oz-tin-with-premier-wicks/]http://www.craftserver.com/topic/105664-8-oz-tin-with-premier-wicks/[/url I found it! I've been wondering the same thing! It will be great to reference this
  6. The trip went well! I was still overwhelmed! I picked up a few scents to test, and if all goes well, I will be going back shortly. Thank you for the replies everyone! I smelled cracklin birch when I was there, but it didn't smell like it would be really strong in soy. I guess I was wrong! I'll have to pick some up next time.
  7. I let them both cure for 2 weeks. I have not tried parrafin because the suppliers by me only offer soy and I don't want to have to pay for shipping.
  8. Thank you! I've been testing the 415 and 464 today. In my opinion, I like the 415 better because it's easier to wick and has a stronger hot throw. I have heard that the 444 is even better than the 415 in regards to hot throw. I've already purchased so much wax, I just don't want to get the 444 if the scent throw is the same as the 415.
  9. Last time I used it, I poured at about 90 degrees, when it looked slushy. My tops turned out pretty smooth, but I'm always looking to have even better tops! Lol
  10. At what temp did you pour in order to get smooth tops?
  11. These look great! I have been lusting after these jars! I just couldn't justify getting them since I live near the Libbey Glass Outlet. I was able to pick up some there. Unfortunately, they don't have lids Did you get these off of candlemakingsupplies? How much are you thinking of selling them for?
  12. Has anyone ever used NG's Pillar of Bliss wax for portion cups?
  13. IMO a candle can never be too strong! But to each their own! If those are the only "complaints" that you have received, that's great! I'm glad no one seems to care about the thought tops. How many square feet should my hot throw reach when lit? I have a 3 in diameter container.
