  1. I got the ones from http://www.woodcandlewick.com/ and used 2 wicks in the 12 oz status jars in the 415 soy. They recommend combinations, and I thought that I had a decent set up, but now I'm just annoyed because they'll burn well 2-3 times, then I can't keep one wick lit. Eventually it will light after a few attempts, but it's annoying. It seems to happen with the wicks that aren't centered the best, but I'm not sure. I've been using a 3/8" crackle wick with a 1/4" premium wick putting those two together and double wicking (if you want to see a pic, I'll post one).
  2. Well, I found the premiers are similar to the Performas (I'm wondering if they're actually the same since ap makes the performas and Wickit was once wick n clip, which is where I used to get my performa wick assemblies), and I'm happy with them.
  3. I'm using 415 with USA at about 1% and have low to no frosting. I am having issues with wet spots and cracking, but my workroom is cool, and the house is about 72. I've been pouring at around 120 degrees. I read somewhere that adding a vegetable oil like liquid coconut oil at 1 tablespoon pp of wax would help with the glass adhesion, but I'm wondering if I should just try the 464.
  4. What's your name? ThisLittleLight How old are you? 42 Where do you live? Ohio How long have you been making candles/soap/whatever? Started in 1998, I think. How did you get started making candles/soap/whatever? I don't really remember, but I started with cold processed soap making, and moved to candles. Now I've got a work room again, so I'll probably do both eventually, around a full time job . Are you married? Any kids? Third time's a charm, well blended with 5 kids If candle/Soap making isn't your primary job, what do you do? Anything else we should know? Like what?
  5. Hello there! I'm a former candle maker that's starting back up again after 7 years (life happens... doesn't seem that long). I've always made soy candles, and I'm currently using gb 415 with USA, but thinking about trying 444 which already has USA added to it from what I understand. I have used mainly Performa wicks with jelly jars and had that down, but the Performas can be tricky sizing them to the right container, and I'd like to try something else. I'm using containers between 2.5" and 3 1/4". I've already ordered some wood wick samples from Candlewic. I'm considering trying the Premiers. Does Wick It make these? Any others I should try? Or just stick with the Premiers?
