  1. For your 4627/4625 blend, is it 50/50? And...Do you have an easy way of dealing with the 4627? I'm practically in hazmat gear dealing with that stuff.
  2. And, I think the swirls are kinda pretty.
  3. I would love to know how your throw is with this blend. I have some 6006, and was going to blend it with something for my tarts.
  4. www.webstaurantstore.com They have 1 oz, and 1.25 oz. Make sure you get the no 5 polypropylene.
  5. I am saying this chant right now with you!
  6. Yes, I'll be happy just to break even. Good to know you're doing well with all soy, too. Not that I'm anti-paraffin, or anything, it just took a lot of testing just to get the blend I have, which just happens to be all soy. It seems like people poo-poo it for some reason, and the popular opinion seems to be that the throw is not as good, or long lasting with all soy. I just can't imagine starting all over with testing! Am I hi-jacking this thread? Sorry if I am. It's so nice to talk to folks who know what they're doing. Wish I'd found this forum months ago!
  7. Ah, you are Suzy's on Etsy. I have drooled over your adorable labels. Honestly, that has been the biggest headache of all for me! I also struggle with pricing. There are some very popular vendors who only charge 1.50 for a scent shot, and I wonder how they do it, and how in the heck I can compete with that, and still make any money!
  8. Just curious what others think. I like the color selection, and the convenience of the chips. Plus, I can see myself slopping a whole bottle of the liquid all over my kitchen.
  9. I let mine cool to the point where they're getting a little thick on the bottom, and then put the wicks in.
  10. Thanks...I actually have both of those on hand, so I guess I'll try those 1st. Have you used the 4627/464 combo?
  11. 50/50 4627/464 in an 8oz jelly jar, that has a 2.75 inch diameter. I want to try the HTP wicks. Candle Science's suggestions seem a little small, and they don't have a sample pack. I have some 1212, but I know those are way too big. Has anyone tried this combo before, know what size I should use? Thanks!
  12. Off topic a little, but I have to ask....what does HTH mean?
  13. I would love to know how you do with the 464/4627 blend. I'm testing this combo myself. I'm using the 8oz square mason jars, though, and I think that's what kicking my butt. Smaller diameter at the top, then they get fat and sqaure. I think I might go to the jelly jar.
  14. I'm definitely going to cut back on FO, but is there another wick recommendation? I am getting ZERO scent throw with this candle. I also thought about cutting back on the 4627. When I used all 464 with a CSN wick, I wasn't thrilled with the look/burn, but the throw was at least good. I do have a CD sampler pack, I thought about trying one of those. I am determined to get this eventually!
  15. I am using a 50/50 mix of GB 464 with IGI 4627. (Gave up on all soy). Apart from the 4627 being like a big blob of vaseline, I really like this combo. Poured beautifully, nice burn, etc. I decided to go for it, and put 2oz per lb of FO, which is the max for both of these waxes. I'm using an ECO 10 wick, in an 8oz square mason jar, which is working well, but around hour 3, the flame gets big, and it starts to soot. I don't think I could go any smaller without tunneling. So, my question is, should I seek out a different wick, or is it more likely that I've gone too gung-ho with the FO, and should cut back to the standard 1oz/lb? I have some other wicks on hand, so I'd take wick suggestions, too. Thanks!
