  1. Depends on whether you are buying a base or making your own. Also if using a base are you adding more than just f/o. How sterile is your work environment what containers are you putting it in. Are they sterile too? Usually bases will last anywhere from 6 months up to a year baring no nasties or germies have gotten into them when prepping. If you make it yourself I do not know. Depends if you use preservatives and again sterile working environment. You do not have to put a use by date on them no at least not that I am aware of.
  2. These really rock ( no pun intended). My hubby would love these.
  3. Thank you I will check them out. My hubby will be pleased as he has been pestering me about this for some time now.
  4. My hubby is wanting me to make him some stuff scented with Chrome. I cannot find it with my usual supplier. Anybody know of one who sells a great dupe of it? Thanks.
  5. Well she has already placed her order. What she wants is 2 of the scents she ordered in a full size container for customers to be able to try out before they buy the gift packs. She is ordering a couple of scents with 3 products in each one for now. So she wants full size lotions and I am providing the sample spatulas so the customers can try out in her shop. It does have the potential to become a very large account for me. Thanks also for all the congratulations. It really did make my week last week and I am still feeling great about it. Anne
  6. Thank you for all of the great replies. I really appreciate it.
  7. I got my first wholesale order and am very excited. Anyway I am wondering with my customer's order she also wants some samples of the different scents so her customers can try them out before they purchase. Should I charge for the sample containers or should these just be freebies? Thanks for any feedback you might have. :smiley2:
  8. Do any of you know where I can find little glass vials like you get perfume samples in? Thanks. Anne
  9. This was something I actually inquired about back in November and it is not available with the paypal shopping cart which really bites. :lipsrseal
  10. I have placed several orders with them and have not only been impressed with the pricing but also the timeliness of the order being received.
  11. I have also been using shea butter on my face and never had a problem. My skin has never looked better before.
  12. Thanks for all of the information. This gives me an idea of what to be looking for and a great way to compare the different carts available. For some reason I had thought it might be like paypal where I just create and do a copy and paste to my site. Anne:cheesy2:
  13. Thanks. I will take a peek at the other carts as well. I guess I need to be more patient when it comes to these things.
  14. I am looking at switching to Zen Cart. I was going to download it yesterday but my hubby says it has to be downloaded to the server first. So I was wondering if anyone else uses Zen Cart if this is indeed what you had to do. Seems kind of silly to me. But then again I am not a technical person soooo. Thanks for any feedback.
  15. Just got my Reader's Digest yesterday and wanted to say congrats to Anne Marie. There was a short article about her and how Brambleberry came about. Was really neat to read about her and renewed about not giving up hope on your dream.
  16. Thank you Jamie. I will have to check their's out.
  17. I really like the FBB that we got from the Chemistry Store from the co-op back not too long ago. Does anyone know if there is an FBB that is just as great with no parabens? Thanks. Anne
  18. Wow those are all so beautiful. Great job!!!!
  19. Well I kind of figuered that I mean as far as the shelf life and I commend anyone that makes a product as natural as one can be. I just found it kind of cruddy to basically call the big companies as well as anyone else who makes b&b with preservatives lazy. Like I said call me a bit sensitive but it came across as a cheap shot at the competitors big and small. Anyway was just kind of curious as to what other opinions were. Thanks for the feedback.
  20. This was her own company. She was not a rep for any of the companys who have representatives. I am not even sure where she is located as her website does not say where she is based.
  21. Ok so I happened across an ad on craigslist for a bath and body company. I of course checked it out as I like to see what other people are doing and what they carry. I was simply shocked. I mean I realize that nowadays especially people like to buy products that are as natural as possible. But when I read on this person's site about how they use no preservatives or anything and why I was simply stunned. I mean maybe there is something a lot of us do not know but I just thought it was scary and I tell you I would not buy anything from this person. On the website this person states they use no preservatives, stabilizer's or filler's. According to them if a product is made correctly there is no need for them. The person states that stablilizer's are used in order to skip some other steps and that to use them means when making bath and body stuff that it means you are being lazy and it's unnecessary. It goes on to say that if everything is sterlie then you do not need preservatives. It goes on and on. I was somewhat offended by the wording but then I was thinking. Yes you can make stuff without preservative but lady if you are doing it no matter how freaking sterile everything is you cannot be 100% sure especially once the product is in the consumer's hands. I think she is setting herself up big time. Her lotions are made with water. I do not know it just seemed really silly to me. But if she gets sued cause someone gets a nasty infection or something becuase some germies got into the products well then maybe she will learn. But to me its not worth the risk. Of course maybe she has a super good insurance policy. I do not know. I know I am not lazy nor is anyone else on here that I have seen and I know plenty of us use preservatives. Anyway I have had a rough couple of days so I might be more super sensitive than normal but I had to speak.
  22. Thanks Luci and MarsBars. I really appreciate the answers. Have a great evening. Anne:cheesy2:
  23. I just got some of the FBB from the co-op and have never used it before. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to store it so that it does not go bad. I removed it from the garbage bag it came in and have moved it into freezer bags but did not know if keeping it in a cool dark place would work or if it needs to be put in the fridge or something else. Thanks. Anne:rolleyes2
  24. Congratulations!!! Sounds like it was a great day for you. Here's to hoping the rest are just as great of not better.
  25. Not sure if I should post this here or down in the co-op becuause I am just checking to see if anyone is going to be doing a OBN co-op anytime soon. I need to place a larger order but figure I would wait and see. Thanks. Anne:D
